        yes, yes, no. Walked down our neighborhood road to beat some ice off the hill with a shovel. No one seems to take any interest in getting the subdivision roads navigable, but they're all griping about their kids being home from school for the 4th day this week! I love my kids in the house, truly and honestly, and took my oldest son with me to go take care of the roads and quit waiting for the dang sun or DOT!

        Feeling giddy when thinking about cranberries, but successfully ignoring it, and it's only happened 2-3x all day.

          I just noticed that hippie_mama, momto3, and I, are all around the same weight for this snapshot in time. Worthless info, but fun trivia, lol!

          • 150.0! Weirder than yesterday's weigh-in! I must have deflated 4-5lbs overnight. Wild stuff.

            B - 3 eggs, ~bacon, ~kefir

            L - chicken veg soup, roast beef w/ mayo, horseradish, red bell, and romaine leaf. ~yogurt. ~turkey

            D - pork chops, heavily buttered mashed cauliflower w/ mushroom pan gravy made from lamb drippings a few days ago, fermented sauerkraut

            • Today's small victories:

              The fat fold in my back (the one that never in my life did I have till I passed 160 (non-pregnant) for the first time...the fact that it's still there really illustrates how my weight is differently distributed than ever before, more on my middle than on hips & thighs as it always was before) is all but gone. It's really just a line now.

              Huge drop in stomach, hips, & upper thigh this week!

              Definitely felt energy this week. SEveral times I preferred to use the computer standing instead of sitting.

              Hubby says my glutes foldover is a good bit less than before.

              When you can get your pants on and off without unbuttoning, is that a sign that it's time to move on to the next size? :lol:

              ETA additional triumph of the day - I'm solidly in size S on top. The only exception is cabled sweaters, which I need a tight underlayer to keep from having that much-too-curvaceous look, lol!

              • 150.25 I forgot - yesterday's weigh-in = meeting another 10lb milestone!!! I've decided DaddyGrok and I are going to a Grokclimbing gym and doing some belaying. I've only done it once or twice before and loved it, and would love to spend a few hours doing it as a reward.

                Next ten pound reward ... I think it will be making my favorite cheesecake recipe (& eating some, of course! but just a bit!) and ...I forgot the other thing. I remember it was close to The Cheesecake Factory, which inspired the first part.

                L - homemade deli-style roast beef (blackened) in a lettuce wrap w/ mayo, horseradish, & red bell pepper

                My next partial goal is 145 (lowest I got after baby#4) and 144 (lowest I got after baby#3). Then 140, then 138 (highest I got after sudden uncontrolled weight gain right after bunches of antibiotics and right before conceiving baby#3), then 136 (high school), then 132 (wedding), then ... well, we'll get there. I'm actually *starting* to get excited about the glimmer of light I see that looks like it might be the end of the tunnel. I didn't dare to get excited before.


                Back to another week of NO fruit and NO nuts. Till next Sunday, fruit!

                • 152.25 Hello, Larabars! Seriously, I did NOT eat two pounds of fruit & nuts yesterday. Clearly I cannot eat that stuff without serious bloating going on. Oh, well, even "serious bloating" at 150 doesn't feel all that bad. It feels for sure like it'll be gone tomorrow. Stay strong!

                    • Alright, more pics time. Taking pics really gets me pumped up!

                      In Sept, I bought a bunch of clothes on clearance from Athleta, for the spring. I picked what I'd keep based on what I could squeeeeeeeeze myself into, planned to test the rest in the spring. I got impatient and tested some today, lol. And am so excited about the differences in how they fit today vs. then!! I think they're mostly legitimately fitting now!

                      Do I look like the Athleta model yet? lol. If the Athleta model let her bathroom go for a week?


                      Okay, how about if I tighten the old abs?


                      Okay, maybe in another couple of months, lol.

                      I'm thinking I like this a lot better than last year's coverup:

                          S - smiled and ignored lots of sweet treats in the store until I saw a sample of some kind of candy-coated rice krispie bars and fell before I knew what hit me! Ow! Just a bit, but enough to make me start to feel spacey, ran straight to the homemade yogurt I had fortunately brought along in the van and chased the poison (yes, it was full of artificial everything) w/ homemade whole fat yogurt.

                          • Another small victory - DaddyGrok & I are in a big band (jazz) with a lot of people we knew in college & some others new to us. We've been in it about 2 years. That whole time, I did it b/c it was a chance for DG & I to play together, b/c I knew somewhere deep inside I love music, b/c I just felt I should. I never looked forward to rehearsal, although I liked it while I was there.

                            Tuesday night we had an excuse to stay home (esp. since it's 45m away piled on top of other reasons), but I was *excited* to go. Not only b/c I finally felt like I looked so much better (hey, important to my vanity when we're talking about people who knew me when I was 19, lol!), but b/c I just felt bubbling w/ energy, and wanted to play, and I really really really enjoyed playing. Like old times. It's like unearthing a lost treasure, really.

                            Thanks be to God! (& cursed be grain...)
