I started my primal journey just after Thanksgiving 2011. Starting weight was 265lbs.

The first week was a little rough cutting out grains but I don't miss them anymore.

6 weeks in and I am already down to 240lbs.

My original goal was 225 but I look forward to hitting that soon and getting sub 200.

Weighed in at 237 this morning.

Several impromptu trips out of town for work led to some less than primal eating.

Nicely done sir. You mirror myself in more ways than one. Especially age, and weight. Keep up the good work, and keep the progress updates coming!

update ack I gained 7 lbs, kinda, the scale I was using died so I'm using another. I've know its always weighed lighter than other scales.

at 218 this morning, new scale.

I've been training for RAGBRAI, a week long bike ride across Iowa. The long rides have lead to some carb cravings and some not so primal eating. Picked up some sweet potatoes to combat the cravings.

I am as well doing RAGBRAI this year! Interested to know how you are personally training/eating for this. Great job thus far, thanks for the updates.

I'm trying to stick with the primal blueprint work outs. I try to lift twice a week, ride twice, and play, with two days of rest. Eating is about the same with primal friendly carbs post ride; bananas and sweet potatoes.

My rides tend to be shorter distances 13-20 miles due. I just completed my longest ride,32 miles, last night. I also try to do hill sprints if i don't have time for a longer ride since I have a hill close to my house.

Sorry long time no update. I made it through ragbrai, 471 miles in 7 days. I'm currently weighing in at 210lbs. I was down to 205 for a while and have stabilized at 210ish. I'm at the point where the number no longer matters as I feel great, my new clothes fit great. I'm doing crossfit 3 times a week.
