    Hello primal friends,

    Hubby and I started eating primal on 12/31/2011. Since then, we've both lost about 6 pounds. Our goal is to finally get truly healthy and "look good naked" (LGN). We submitted our pics to Mark for the "Success Stories in the Making" for 2012. We are determined to make this our year! So, without much adieu, here is our current pic....

    Began primal eating 12/31/2011. I'm finishing up the ChaLean Extreme program for my exercise and will be done 1/19/12. I would like to begin exercising primally as soon as I get back from vacation. I leave on 1/20 for a 2-week Caribbean vacation...hmmm, that's going to be a challenge. My goal is to eat at least 80% primal.

      Hi ciaobella13- If you follow the 80-20 rule you'll still be good. Oh and why not work out on the vacation since most all lifts can be done with body weight only?

      Still #1 priority though is enjoy yourself!

        Thanks for the quick reply! Good point on the exercise...I'm sure I can get in some beach sprints and push-ups. That'll probably help burn off some of the alcohol that is bound to be consumed.

          OK...so last post for the night. Here is a typical day for us. Hopefully we're on the right track:

          B: 2-3 eggs, bacon or sausage
          L: Big Ass Salad - lots of veggies with grilled chicken, tuna, steak, or salmon. I usually add in a 1/2 avocado, top with EVOO and balsamic vinegar, and sometimes a tablespoon or so of blue cheese or goat cheese
          D: Meat and veggies (favorite is ribeye steak topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions)
          Snack if hungry is usually an apple or orange.

          I've been tracking on fit day, so if I can figure out how to save the my average breakdown as a jpg, I'll upload it here.

          Fat (61%) Carbs (12%)
          Protein (26%) Alcohol (0%)

            Down another pound and 0.5% body fat this morning (finally). I didn't have much movement on the scale the last few days, but it was nice to see it go down a tick this morning. I know I shouldn't be "scale-obsessed", and I'm really not...I just want to make sure I'm on the right track.

            Breakfast:
            Omelette with small bit of cheese and mushrooms
            1 piece of bacon
            16 oz coffee with 2 tbsp coconut milk

            Snack:
            1 clementine

            Lunch:
            Steak Fajita Salad (steak, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa)

            Snack:
            1 clementine

            Dinner:
            1 hamburger patty topped with 1 tbsp blue cheese
            1/2 cup sauteed mushrooms and onion
            1 cup green beans

            So I ate more fruit than I have been eating. I need to cut it back down to 1 piece or none. I'm actually quite surprised how much I like the coconut milk in my coffee. I've been alternating between that and heavy whipping cream.

                      Hi primal4fifty: yep, we are really new here. I cannot believe how much better we are already feeling even though we've only been primal for 14 days! Thanks for the well-wishes. Good luck to you too!

                        Down to 182.0 today with 30.1% body fat. Boy, after looking at these pictures, I cannot wait to get to 18% body fat!!!

                          Today was a good day, especially since I was down to 182 at 30% body fat. I still have a LONG way to go. Here's what I ate:
                          B: 2 eggs, 3 pieces bacon
                          L: Big Ass Salad: flank steak, butter lettuce and spring mix, cherry tomatoes, green pepper, cucumber, hard boiled egg, small bit of blue cheese
                          D: Crab Stuffed Salmon, mixed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots)

                          Here's a pic of dinner....was delish!

                            Off to a great start this morning. Breakfast was a crab meat omelette with pepper, tomato, onion, and a little bit of cheese. Oh yeah, and a piece of sausage on the side.

                              Yesterday's meals:
                              B: Crab meat omelette (see previous post), 2 cups coffee with heavy cream
                              L: Big Ass Salad with flank steak, avocado, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers - topped with EVOO and balsamic vinegar and 1 tbsp blue cheese
                              D: 8 oz Ribeye Steak, sauteed mushrooms and onions, broccoli and carrots

                              Indulgences: I did have 2 "paleo margaritas"....which is probably why the scale didn't budge. Here is the recipe:
                              1 shot tequila
                              juice of 1/2 clementine
                              spalsh of lime seltzer water
                              shake and enjoy over ice. Yum!
