    Today's workout (1.16.12):

    15 push-ups on knees
    5 triceps push-ups on knees
    20 pull-ups (chair assisted) - goal is to do 1 without chair
    squats 20lbs x 15 reps
    lunges 20 lbs x 10 reps

        Thanks ELCO14...the salmon with crabmeat was delicious!!

        Today's meals:
        B: 2 eggs, 4 oz leftover ribeye steak
        L: Big Ass Salad with grilled chicken, green pepper, tomatoes, cucumbers, hard-boiled egg, 1/2 avocado, topped with EVOO/vinegar and 1 tbsp blue cheese
        D: Italian sausage with cabbage, topped with a few pieces of bacon.

        I've not really been hungry at all in between meals. It's actually quite liberating as I was used to eating about every 2-3 hours. I got a laugh out of hubby today at lunch. He said, "I'm tired of eating"....and he's lost 10 pounds!! I love being primal.

            Awww...thanks Lex. I still have a LONG way to go

            Today's meals:
            B: Cheese eggs and 1 1/2 piece of bacon
            L: Cabbage and italian sausage, 1 apple....I know, shouldn't have eaten the fruit
            D: 2 chicken thighs, mixed veggies (broccoli, snow peas)

            I really do not have much of an appetite today. I'm kinda bummed to! I ordered some new swimsuits to take with me on vacation this friday, and they just now shipped them. I ordered them on Dec 28th!! UGH....anyway....guess I'll have to buy one in St. Maarten.

              So today is the last day at home before my vacation! I didn't reach my scale goal weight, but I have lost 8 fat pounds and am beginning to notice my curves again. My goal is to try to stay as close to 80% paleo on vacation. I'll be back in 2 weeks!!

                So, I'm finally back from my 2 week vacation in the islands. It went by pretty quickly, and I cannot believe its already done! Me and hubby did pretty good for the first few days, but we definitely cheated with the booze. Now, I'm paying for it. I came back home to find myself up 6 pounds with an upset tummy. It's funny how me and hubby can look at the pictures when we first arrived looking fairly slim, and then as time progresses, you can see some "wheat belly" come back. No worries though...We will be back in better shape in no time. Basically, this just proved that Primal is the way to go!!

                We started today off on the right foot. Breakfast was eggs and 2 pieces of sausage. Of course, we had a few cups of coffee too...I had a shot of full-fat cream in mine.

                I've already been grocery shopping and have loaded up on tons of yummy meat and veggies, eggs, avocados, tomatoes, salad, and cucumbers. I feel better already!

                  So it's been a week since I've been back from vacation. It has been a slow start getting back to eating primal. I've done pretty good with the exception of one day which was filled with junk and then topped off by mexican food and margaritas. Now that I've settled back in to my routine, eating Primal is on!! I've had a migraine all week, and I really feel it must be related to not eating right. I'm ready to get my groove back on

                    I've lost the 6 pounds I gained on vacation. I SO love this Prima-thing!

                      WOW! I received an email from Mark this weekend to ask if we would post our ages for the "Success Story in the Making". I was thrilled, to say the least. What great timing too! I've fallen off the wagon for the last 2 weeks and need to get back on track. If interested, you can view our story in the making here.

                      So, today is the day I get back on track. Even though my numbers are the same (182 @ 30% body fat), I feel gross. I know I can do this!!

                        Still maintaining with no significant changes yet. I'm debating on whether or not to take some progress pics....

                        Oh yeah - we made Paleo Shrimp and Grits the other night from the Paleo Comfort Foods cookbook. Delish! I'll try to get a pic uploaded tomorrow.

                          Just got off the phone with the vet and found out my cat has feline diabetes. Guess what, he's going paleo now too! I mean, doesn't it make sense? Why would I feed my gato crap when I don't want to feed myself crap....just a thought. Now I just need to find some grain-free cat food...

                            We tried Paleo brussel sprouts with bacon tonight to go with our pork chops. Check these out...they were so yummy!!! And, I didn't even know I like brussel sprouts

                              I've fallen off the wagon a little bit this month. Too many birthday lunches and iced mochas (made with whole milk) at work. Now, I'm paying for it. I'm back up to 185 and my belly looks like its 7 months pregnant! I've eaten really clean the last few days, so hopefully I'm on my way back to getting on track! I just got back from a 20-minute walk (building up to sprints). Yesterday was about 15 push-ups...trying to build up to doing them on my toes.

                                I've realized I have been eating too many calories and not getting enough exercise. As an experiment yesterday, I tracked everything I ate and drank in the Paleo Tracker. I kept my calories around 1500 and took a 20 minute walk. This morning I woke up to a 2 lb weight loss. I know that Paleo/Primal is typically "unweighed/unmeasured", but sometimes I just have to keep it in check.
