    My goals for 2012:

    1) Get down to 220 lbs (Starting weight: 266 lbs)
    2) Do an unsupported handstand push up, a one-arm pull up, and clean & press my bodyweight
    3) Complete Warrior Dash race in St Louis in September
    4) Pass my PhD qualifying exams without getting overly stressed

    Plan:

    1) Eat Primal, move slowly often (daily walks with dogs 2-3 miles total), leangains style IF (12:00 - 20:00 feeding window)
    2) Lift heavy things (Convict Conditioning "Good Behavior" program 3x per week, lift heavy at the gym 1-2x per week)
    3) Register online, run with dogs 2x per week 1-2 miles, occasional longer runs/sprint workouts
    4) Get adequate rest and exercise to avoid over stressing

    First Journal Entry

    Monday, 9 Jan 2012

    11:00 - Breakfast
    2 cage free eggs, fried in lamb tallow
    3 links organic, uncured chicken breakfast sausage, grilled
    1 plum tomato, grilled, seasoned with Mrs Dash

    14:00 - Lift
    Warm up/dynamic stretch
    Clean and Press, 2x3 reps warmup at 50 lbs, 5x3 reps working sets at 100 lbs
    Stretch

    15:00 - Lunch (cheat meal)
    1 small packet of Fritos
    1 Muscle Milk protein bar

    18:30 - Snack
    Small portion of braised cabbage

    21:00 - Dinner
    2 large servings of braised cabbage
    3 links bratwurst, all natural, locally raised, uncured

    Warm up/dynamic stretch
    Vertical Pull, 4x20 reps
    Short Bridge, 4x10 reps
    Stretch

    14:00 - Breakfast
    Chipotle's salad w/steak, fajita veggies, salsa, guacamole, lettuce

    16:30 - Snack
    18 Green Sicilian olives, large, with pits

    17:00 - Walk
    .5 miles with dogs and wife

    20:00 - Dinner
    9 Green Sicilian olives, large, with pits
    2 servings ground lamb, organic, sauteed with green onion, bell pepper, tomato, pistachios

    22:00 - Snack
    1 bowl braised cabbage
    1.5 oz extra dark chocolate
    1 oz raisins

      1 large serving braised cabbage
      3 links bratwurst, all natural, locally raised, uncured

      22:00 - Snack
      Small snack plate w/macadamias, sliced bell pepper, pork rinds, sliced cucumber, dried plantain chips
      .5 oz extra dark chocolate

        4 rib section, roasted breast of lamb (mostly fat)
        1 large serving mixed roasted veg (cabbage, onion, carrot, squash)

        21:00 - Snack
        6 organic dried figs
        20 olives, mixed Greek, with pits
        3 oz aged goat gouda

          1 serving mixed veg (spinach, borccoli) sauteed in olive oil w/chopped walnuts

          3 oz gouda

            Canvassing for Ron Paul, 1.5 miles total, intermittent easy pace

            18:00 - Walk
            .75 mile with dogs

            19:00 - Dinner
            1 cup Wonton Soup
            1 Egg Roll
            1 Large plate stir fried pork with bamboo, mushrooms, onion

            22:00 - Snack
            Small snack plate with tanka bites, macadamias, fresh mushrooms, 2 dried figs

                small snack plate with kalamata olives, chambier goat cheese, dried apricots, fresh mushrooms

                19:30 - Dinner
                2 servings veggie curry (mushrooms, bean sprouts, green beans, bok choi)
                2 servings primal shrimp cakes

                22:00 - Snack
                Large snack plate, split with wife, w/kalamatas, chambrier goat cheese, dried apricots, fresh blueberries, roasted pistachios, sliced bell pepper, dried figs, sliced cucumber,

                  Large serving, mixed sauteed veg (green bean, water chestnut, mushroom, onion)

                  22:00 - Dinner
                  Large bowl goat stew, w/mushrooms, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, in a bone broth base

                    Small serving of organic chicken sausage and sauteed broccoli
                    No longer going to bother trying to classify feedings (breakfast, lunch, etc) since they're so irregular and varied

                    Small snack plate with kalamatas, sliced bell pepper, fresh mushrooms, orange wedges, aged manchango
