        • @Candy Thought's are always welcome m'dear!

@Siobhan It's something I used to do with my cousins when we were younger... both sliding on butts and our stomachs... we used to race to see who could get to the bottom of the stairs first! Don't think we ever did get hurt either too!

          • Big news turned not so big. I had a job interview that I was sure I nailed... And I didn't. They didn't even check with my references.

            • So sorry about that. Funny how these things go. I thought that is what your news might be. But maybe it was good practice for when the real deal comes along?

I am so impressed that you are going on interviews and constantly making plans for the future - so many people I know just sit around and moan about the state of the job market, etc.

              • I'm sorry, too, Ecks. But hang in there--anyone with a list like yours (which is very telling about who you are) is BOUND to be appreciated! It will happen...

                • Bummer about the job interview.

I like the list! I'd have to say that puddle jumping, whether it be barefoot or shoes on, is always fun! I found myself nodding my head in agreement with quite a few items on your 100 list.

                        • Thanks all...

I think I figured out where I went wrong... Having applied for an organization that focuses on global and 3rd world governance I think I may have been "greedy" with my asking of 45-50k per year... When I asked for feedback on where I went wrong they said that "it's also important try to show interest in the core mission of an organization". I thought I had shown that quite well so the asking $ is the only thing I can think of.

Interesting weekend- Friday I got together with my missions team to do a dry run of our fundraising event. We're doing our own version of the "Minute-to-win-it" game show. Hoping that'll be a success! Saturday got all messed up but at the end of it I ened up doing a wicked BBQ with CS. Slow cooked chicken wings (finished on the grill), beef brisket (started in the oven on low for 2 hours, also finished on the grill), asparagus (bacon fat and salt in a foil pocket on the grill) and sweet potato/carrots in bacon fat and salt in the oven. Freakin delicious! Sunday was same old song I guess... bit of a twist though- HAIL! and lots of it! While driving home from church I actually lost traction in a round about and the next thing I know I'm facing the wrong way... fun! :S

                          • I'm sure you are worth that and more- you have to live after all. You get what you pay for! If their mission is important, they need good people and good people cost money. And one can only give back if one has it to give.

Food sounds terrific, as always - pics?
