  • Oh... well I've been plateaued since September. But I have got from weighing like a maniac 2-3 times a day to not remembering the last time I weighed in. I also decided to stop ignoring my cravings for sweets and I've been eating more fruit. I've been wanting apples for a while and heck I even bought some plumbs and frozen mango (for shakes!). I'm not going to stress about crap anymore. Going to to back to the way it was as a lifestyle and not a stressful science experiment. We'll see how it goes. Either way I'm happy

    Short Term Goal: Fit into the shirts I got on my honeymoon at disney and universal in august next year when I go back to for my 1 year anniversary
    Met Goal: Be a 2x Shirt, Fit in a standard airplane seat belt without the use of a seat belt extension
    Long Term Goal: 166lbs (One day!), Buy whatever cloths I want to wear.

    • Good for you! I believe the stress of trying to lose weight as quickly and effectively as possible is what has really messed me up in the past. Now, I am really working on making this a sustainable, healthy, lifestyle choice and I feel so much more at ease. Great job Ecks!!

        • I agree Ecks! I get so caught up in how many grams of this or that and forget to enjoy. At least I am also stuck at a plateau, but I am still so glad that I am not gaining weight and can stop and wait to get the energy for another attack on the fat. Glad you are seeing changes

          • I feel smaller today. Ever get those days? My pants feel big, my shirt feels loose... Don't know if I'm smaller or just the clothing combination that I'm wearing but it's a good feeling

                I've been feeling the same thing. The scale does not agree. I figure by some miracle I'm getting more toned. LOL!

                • So after all of the feeling awesome yesterday I semi sabatoged it all. Was supposed to go for coffee with friends yesterday afternoon but the cafe we were supposed to go to was closed. Ended up at crabby joes and everyone else was eating so I decided to grab a pound of wings. This was in spite of my other set of plans last night which was for an AYCE wings event (movember event specifically). All in all last night I put down at least 3lbs of wings and a pint of guiness. Needless to say I felt like ass this morning... fasting for the day outside of 2 tablespoons of MCT and some tea- will likely break it after work with my evening *possibly dinner* plans tonight with friends.

                    • So I know it's been a while since I've posted a plate! So here's the awesome lunch I had today... Little on the sweet side but I'm damn proud of how these turned out!

                      Pumpkin pancakes! Pumpkin, coconut flour and eggs. On the side: home made strawberry jam (still warm!), freshly whipped cream, and bacon! And of course maple syrup and butter on top

                          • I've got one more to share. I was in the mood to cook

                            Lamb marinated with salt, pepper and fresh thyme- cooked in bacon fat and placed over a creamy sweet potato, roasted garlic, and mint puree all sprinkled with chives. Grilled bacon and shitake mushrooms on the side and thyme springs to garnish.

                            • For Christmas 2003 (Grade 11 year), my sister bought me a pair of jeans that didn't fit. Those jeans have been in my closet ever since then. In frustration of my current pants getting too big lately I decided to try them on again. Now my weight stalled about 3 months back but I KNOW that they didn't fit then (because I did try them on around that time). All I know is that they fit today and that they are comfy. The weight may not be moving but it's at very least shifting and all I can say is that it's nice to get the new pants without having to shop for them.

                              • That food looks delicious! And hooray for pants that have waited for so long and now fit - excellent news. Obviously what you are doing is working even if the scale doesn't agree...
