  • Thanks all It's been a long month for sure. I do have an interview tuesday though for a job that I do want so I'm praying that turns out.

    Weighin sunday turned out to be unfruitful. It's a palteau month at 248. Shame really. Oh well! I'm hoping if this job interview goes well I'll kick back into burning mode. Not sure if I'll hit goal but I'm thankful that I haven't derailed.

    Also, sidebar- Overdue food porn. This is from last week

    Fish in a blanket? Salmon wrapped in bacon topped with a poached egg.

    Short Term Goal: Fit into the shirts I got on my honeymoon at disney and universal in august next year when I go back to for my 1 year anniversary
    Met Goal: Be a 2x Shirt, Fit in a standard airplane seat belt without the use of a seat belt extension
    Long Term Goal: 166lbs (One day!), Buy whatever cloths I want to wear.

      • Yum! I think I have one of those, oh and DH wants one too! Oh, and now the kids each want one Praying with you that the job interview goes really well! While I know that plateau is not a goal, isn't it kind of comforting that you are at least maintaining despite the stress and unhelpful circumstances? I think a 'well done' is in order! And before you know it the upheavals will be a thing of the past and that fat will be dripping off you again!

          • Yep, that meal looks good!

            A butcher I know says there won't be any bacon on the market here in six months because of the drought. I hope that doesn't happen!

            Thinking of you on the job interview tomorrow. Once you get a job, the weight will fall off. Just think of the pre-historical days. You would have gained weight under all the pressure. Maintaining is much better.

                • Happy belated thanksgiving to the two of you!!

                  So I had my job interview today... Lasted 40 minutes- CRAZY! Great interview and they just called me for references. I'm hoping for the best on this one. It's at U of W and it's a 13 month contract. At least with something like that I can be more prepared for unemployment the next time it creeps up on me. It also gives me time to work on my resume Hope all are well!

                  • Oh, that sounds hopeful! And contracts sometimes get renewed or turn into permanent jobs. And if you don't like it, you have an easy out.

                            • It's a cycle of eating at certain times that helps get burn cycles going again. Essentially you eat as high a protein breakfast as you can handle then eat again 5 hours later and 5 hours after that being careful not to eat within the 3 hour window before bed. It helped me get going on paleo to start and I figure it would help with this plateau.

                              As a side bar today was my first day of work... interesting is the word I'll use. My boss spent the morning complaining that things aren't as good as they used to be but I seemed to click with the other guy more in the afternoon. It's a 13 month contract at the university of waterloo. Hoping it may take me places but we'll see.
