  • Hey Ecks, it sounds like you are doing pretty well overall. Some nice numbers in your signature. 73 pounds off altogether! That's so impressive.

    • Thanks Judj! Want to know the crazy part? 83LBS is the 25% off mark. As in 25% of my total body weight. I don't have far to go to get it either! (It's also 50% of goal weight ). I know this weighin wont do it but the next might!

        • So I did a 48 hour IF from tuesday night til last night. Felt good! Only issue/concern that I had through the whole thing is that I didn't feel hungry at all... After 36 hours or so (which is when I was planning to end the IF) is when it started to bug me. Wrapped up the IF by going out for dinner and having completely non primal chicken wings (breaded and fried) with veggie sticks and 2 bits of my cousins Ice Cream for dessert. On the way home I realized that even though I was temporarily full I wasn't fully satisfied. So I came home and made myself a BAS. That hit the spot. Screw you restaurant food the salad is what did me in!

Felt like shit when I woke up this morning. Bloaty and nasty... I should stick to restaurants that do baked wings...

So I went clothing shopping today... I HATE clothing shopping... I LOATH it.. and to make matters worse I am not even fully satisfied with the stuff I brought home. I did however pick up the best underwear ever! It's underarmour boxer-briefs and the entirety of the underwear is made from cold gear compression material except for the support which is made from mesh and treated as a "pocket". Best pocket ever! I feel so supported and so free at the same time!

          • Ecks, I find in general evening is the worst time to break a fast. You wake up the next morning feeling starving and/or rotten. It's really worth it to tough it out till the next morning, especially if you weren't even feeling particularly hungry.

              • Wow! Congratulations! I was weighing myself daily but got bummed when weird fluctuations happened that I couldn't explain. So now I'm trying for weekly. I admire your will power to weigh in monthly (is it?).

We're just about at the same weight!

                • Most excellent, Ecks! You know that as you get closer to your goal, the loss will probably slow down. Your body just won't be quite so eager to shed, and you won't have the daily workout of carrying around so much extra weight. But I find it very impressive that you are still losing so quickly after so many months. I never came anywhere close to losing that fast.

                  • @DCarr- the weighins happen on every first and third sunday of the month... I was doing weekly at one point and I found myself sneak weighing throughout the week. What did it best for me was april when I did not weigh in at all for the entirety of the month. Makes it feel less like a diet and more like a lifestyle because I wasn't constantly adjusting based on the numbers I was getting.

@Judg- I think a lot of it is that I'm still staying fairly low carb- even through plateaus. It shocks me a bit when people suggest upping your carbohydrate intake when things get slow. By keeping things LC I feel like I burn fat better for longer.

                    • Whatever works, Ecks. A lot of women claim that including a small amount of carbs daily actually sped up their weight loss, and stopped their hair from falling out. Our metabolisms are a bit different. I usually try to have a banana or some sweet potato every day, but honestly, I often forget. Mind you, I'm eating more fruit because it's summer so I'm probably okay there, especially since it's mostly berries. Some carbs, but not too many.
