  • Mmm, yes - need to start that picture log again. My camera phone ran out of space so I kept on running out of space/having to delete stuff and it got annoying. Will clear the Blackberry some space tonight.

        • Oh, the double dose thing would scare me. I can't have that happen at work or my boss might freak out on me. Quite a few of us are changing our eating habits (only two are primal), so there's been some interesting overheard conversations at work, lol.

          • So today was a day off for me. Everyone needs that extra one I guess. Perfect day for spring cleaning! Spent the morning doing that and now my place is fresh and clean and smells nice and looks nice! Love it!

            Food for the day

Breakfast- IF (Accidentally skipped getting caught up in cleaning)

Lunch- Omelet (2 slices of bacon, orange bell pepper, parmigian cheese, mushrooms, goats milk yogurt, folded in 3 eggs), 3 more slices of bacon on the side. Small bowl of pork rinds.

Dinner- 1/2 rack of ribs, big ass salad

Supplements- 3000mg of salmon oil, 6000ui vitamin D

Exercise- 30 minutes frisbee with my roommate (lots of sprinting!), 50 minute barefoot walk (these are becoming quite therapeutic for me!), 100 Air squats for time in (I'm typing them before I'm actually doing them so that means I've gotta go do them then come back with the number...)

So I've been joking about thermogenesis all week this week with a buddy at work (he insists that 5litres of water a day is the way to go, I joke and say it's the psycho shower) and I thought I'd go for it today just for the hell of it since it came up on Marks Post today. The verdict... It reminds me of my childhood baths/showers, it has a nostalgic element for me that made it almost enjoyable from the get go (once I got in past my junk that is...). All in all I was quite happy with it. Got into the tub first (very slowly) then once I was primed I took a full on shower. And once I'm done those air squats that I promised I would do I figure I'll try another psycho shower before bed.

            ****

And air squats are done! Gettin rusty after not doing them for a while (plus my calves are fairly stretched from all of the barefoot walking I've gotten in over this gorgeous long weekend. I know, I know... Excuses! But hey! ... wait... I have no arguement...). 100 air squats in 6:24... Damn... Guess this has to come back into my exercise. Took another psycho shower after my workout (sweating hardcore after that mini workout... it's finally hot around here consistently!)

            Bedtime! Night all!

              • So today is a special-ish day. It's been 6 months since I started paleo! With that I saved my 2 week weigh-in for today. I came in at 273.4. That's only about a pound and a half in 16 days so I'm going to go ahead and call that a plateau but that's still something to be happy with. 59 and a half pounds in 6 months is nothing to snuff at. I'll take it

                • I think it's fantastic. I remember in the very old days -- hard to even remember that far back -- but there is a fuzzy memory of your weight starting with a 3!

Carry on. I'm following your positive take on it all and feeling better already.

I am ignoring all confusing data regarding PB. Just going back to the very simple stuff. I like simple!

Oh, and I've been meaning to ask -- how is your sister's diet going? Has she looked at your food and just had to go primal?

                    • @pam Thanks! As for my sister, as per usual, she has fallen off of the wagon... Though I'll have to make sure. Our last measure in she didn't want to do and the one before she made no progress... So yeah... we'll see.

@judg I'm just hoping that I can maintain something decent. With the way I'm getting stressed around the house lately with this shitty roommate I'm so scared it's all going to reverse.

                      • That protein salad really looks good. Always liked my meat really rare. Just past mooing, my dad used to say:-) There's that goat yogurt I love so much in your dressing. My youngest informed me it wasn't that fattening when he looked at the container I just bought. Guess who's not primal??:-) He understands the whole PB, but still has fatophobia. Hey, new word. Probably not.

It's funny when we shop. He's totally supportive of me trying to be primal, but he can't help looking at the fat calories in things. Doing primal perfectly and losing a ton of weight would probably help my case! Sounds like a goal. I would think your sister would see your progress and go for primal just watching your joy with the whole thing.

Oh, forgot to tell you how impressed my youngest is with your results and the way you're going about it. He did almost lose it though when I showed him that great picture of your ham burger!! It was priceless.

                          • Almost 60 frickin pounds - your body already has to be so much happier.

With the stressful roommate - I know a thing or two about these tense living situations - rest assured that if you do your thing right, you can at least maintain what you've lost. I think in the last few months it was probably harder for me to lose weight because I was additionally stressing myself out with VLC and job-hunting. The stress was coming at me from every angle! Hopefully you have breaks in the day that are better for you. In the meantime, you can just problem solve on how to not let that person affect you as much. Good time to reflect on what's going to help you manage your stress best. What are you doing so far to try to mitigate it?

                            • When you're under stress, I figure just maintaining a weight loss is an exceptional victory! Most people don't manage it even without stress. But I somehow think you will manage to lose some anyway, even if it's at a slower pace. Doesn't matter, you'll get there eventually.
