    Yesterday

Breakfast- Coconut Milkshake, Small piece of steak, forgot to take my morning supplements

Lunch - Steak, 1 whole red bell pepper

Dinner- Oven roasted wings and sweet potato fries from Boston Pizza, 2 pieces of dark chocolate

Exercise- 40 push ups. It was guys night so this was very much an after thought

    Today

Breakfast: Same as yesterday but I remembered my supplements! 2 Salmon oil tabs, 6000UI of D3

    Lunch- Ribs and veggies

Dinner- I have egg cups in the oven right now. I'll probably have 1 of those and a pork chop... and maybe some salad. Regular chocolate dosage to finish.

    Exercise- Swimming tonight!

So I had an "Ergo Assessment" today at work. Pretty much someone came by to make sure that by using a standing desk I wasn't straining myself. In general the whole standing desk thing treats me well but depending on how busy the day is I often come home to crash I'm sure it'll get better with time.

    • That's funny that they did that! In the old building that I used to work at, most of our stations were stand up stations. Not in my new building However, we do alot of standing.

              • MMM... now you guys have me wanting fish. I gotta head to the fish market on the weekend and pick some up.

Swim today kicked my ass! I felt so uncoordinated. I missed 1 week because of crappy "spring break" schedule at the rec centre and I just felt so uncoordinated. Still got in 1144m (1251 yards) but I'm just getting frustrated because I can't break my 56 lap record. (I got 52 tonight). Guess I'll have to try harder? Though I feel like I'm going as fast as I can in the 50 minutes given to me.

Dinner ended up being 2.5 egg cups, half rack of ribs, massive salad, 2 pieces of chocolate.

Depending on how I feel in the morning I may do a full day's fast. I'll see how I feel when I wake up.

                • wow ecks...that's impressive! especially to someone like me who has tried to learn to swim but can't get over her fear of going straight to the bottom!! I have to be able to touch the bottom...with my head out of the water! or I panic. I must've drowned in another life or something!!

I saw a recipe for egg cups in Mark's cookbook...they looked good! Is that the recipe you used?
                  have a great evening!

                  • Not sure which recipe mark has... Essentially I line the bottom of a muffin tray with bacon. Cut up a decent amount of veggies in a bowl. Mix in 6 eggs and 2tbsp of coconut flower. Makes 12 Cups.

                        • Love the visual of your touching the bottom of the pool with your head out of the water!

We're all swimmers in my family -- my dad worked with two women who swam the English Channel. But my youngest son will not put his head in the water. Pretty funny! I guess the back stroke would work best for you.

Hey, how are you in the shower?

Are you okay in boats? My dad went around the world in a 40 foot sailboat (later owned by Guy Williams -- Zorro -- my hero). Almost starved once on the boat and just had canned peaches/apricots. Wouldn't eat whichever one it was ever again.

ecks has given us another marvelous recipe. I think a book of his recipes would be a great idea!

                          • Very simple blog post today.

Glad the work week is over. This week was a very stressful week not in a sense of urgency but in a sense that there was more work than time this week. Found myself in a position where I just couldn't keep up. Glad the department is growing but we need to organize new business models soon.

Crashed after work and I think I'm gonna take the night off from exercise.

I fasted for the day today. Wanted to see what the hype was. Might try it once a week for a few and see if it holds any benefit for me. Doing the full 36 hour fast. I last ate at 7pm last night and will be having breakfast after 7am tomorrow.

                            • ecks...I'll be anxious to hear how it worked for you. I fasted yesterday & lost about .2!! Not worth the effort I don't think. Did another fast the beginning of the week & no change there. So I'm not sure it works for me.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend after the week you've had!! You deserve it!!
                              have a good night!!

                              • I try to IF on the weekends, which usually works out nicely because I don't have a schedule like I do at work for my breaks. Also, not usually hungry on Saturday mornings.
