  • Yesterdays activity was my fave- horseback riding.

    Food: 3 eggs, bacon and asparagus plus coffee for breakfast
    Pork, zucchini, onions sauted with dill, butter and some paprika, a pickle and 2 squares of hazelnut chocolate plus brazil nuts

        • Yesterdys workout was 20 minutes of LHT- pull ups, push ups, shoulder presses. dead lifts, plank squats and lunges. sore arms, but did not challenge legs to soreness.

          Breakfast was a scramble with 3 eggs, half an avocado, and bacon, plus a cup of coffee. Kept me going all day!
          Dinner was a grilled chicken leg/thigh (mmmmmmm), sweet potato wedges, brussel sprouts, the other half of the avocado, aioli.

          I also had a handful of blackberries, 2 brazil nuts, and a square of chocolate.

          • Yesterdays workout was 20 minutes of leg exercises. LOL, sore booty!

            Breakfast was eggs, avocado, bacon, banana, coffee
            Dinner was chicken with sauted greens....

            Then "Honey, I need something for the bake sale". So.... chocolate chip cookies.... I ate too many (3 plus dough) and gave myself a raging headache plus some loveley belly bloat. Awesome, thank god they are gone. ANd yeah, they tasted GREAT.

            • Hi! Just read through your journal. I completely understand the stops and starts, I've been doing that for many years. But things like buying a new cook book, or workout clothes or whatever can be really motivating, getting you (me) past the first tough few days and where it begins to become a habit.

              Keep journaling, even if you step off awhile! Best of luck! :-)

              • Yesterday I rode my horse and took a 15 minute brisk walk.

                Food was :
                bacon, eggs, avocado, banana, coffee

                dinner was delish.... I sauted some spinach, put it in a bowl, plopped a burger on top, topped that with a fried egg and had kimchee and aioli on the side. Also had chocolate and some watermelon.

                • Yesterday I had a 45 minute brisk walk.

                  Breakfast was sausage, eggs and avocado, plus some blueberries and coffee
                  Snack of gluten free crackers with goat cheese
                  dinner was eaten out- I had pork carnitas, a salad, cole slaw, salsa, vodka and clubsoda. I had a piece of chocolate later and a few bites of ice cream.

                  I feel kind of foggy and crappy today.... probably tomatoes or bad oils.

                  • Busy day yesterday! Nice long ride on my horse, actually sore. Plus an hour long walk.

                    My breakfast was suasage, avocado, eggs and coffee. Dinner was burger, egg, kimchee, spinach, sweet potato and aioli. I had a few snacks- figs, chocolate and a few bites of ice cream.

                    It was a lot of food, but I was hungry and it was all good stuff, except the ice cream. I may not have the amounts right yet, but I eat so much better than a year ago. I know we argue.... fruit, sweet potatoes... but SO MUCH better than alternatives. I do need to keep working on the sweets. But one thing at a time. I used to eat so much sweets and bread and considering I don't eat bread anymore except for an occasional taste (very occasional), and my sweet consumption is probably an eighth of what it was I feel pretty good.

                    I was trying on riding clothes last night.... here is a series of pics:

                    I could not wear those breeches in January- they would not zip, and no way in hell with a tight shirt tucked in.... and my boots were a struggle to pull on.

                    This is me at around my slimmest pre-primal. Keep in mind at this time, 13-15 mile trail runs were a given, I ran pretty much every day and ate a pretty restricted diet. By comparison..... these days I sit on my ass.

                    The breeches in the older pic no longer fit.... thank god. I got to a place where those breeches almost didn't fit.... by being too small...

                    Anyhow, lol, I might not look good naked yet, but I am looking good in riding pants, which is a positive step!

                    • Yesterday, I rode and that was about it.
                      Breakfast was pancakes and sausage- pancakes were sweet potato, yogurt, almond meal and eggs. Plus some butter and real maple syrup, YUP, a splurge. But this is a life long change, not a diet, so for me, its important to learn to manage all that. I'm not going to want eggs every morning.

                      Dinner was my kimchee burger- same as last night, but no sweet potato, plus I made some bacon wrapped figs and had some chocolate.

                      My weight was 186.5.... I've been stuck here for a while. I did some measurements though, and while there is nothing smaller in my core, my legs and arms have lost some inches. I can feel a difference in clothes fit.

                          • Yesterday I half assed a 25 minute bodyweight work out, but at least I did something other than sit on the couch, LOL.

                            Breakfast was eggs, avocado, sausage and a banana plus coffee
                            Dinner was leftover green beans and chicken thigh, a piece of cheese, some chocolate and watermelon and my fave muscadines.

                            • Yesterday was OK, 30 minutes of walking.

                              Breakfast was avocado, bacon and eggs, banana
                              dinner was watermelon, chicken, greens cooked with bacon and some chocolate. Also had aioli on the chicken.

                              Today I leave for a short trip....not looking forward to it. It's to my parents and inlaws. My parents are fine, but I don't sleep well at their house. The inlaws I won't sleep well at and will be a PITA about my diet. I actually hate going home. I like seeing my parents, but I don't know. I would have rather taken the time off in town or somewhere relaxing. I have no idea how I will stay primal. These days going non-primal- wheat or too much sugar makes me edgy. On top of no sleep...oy vay. BUT ALL THESE DAMN PEOPLE EAT IS PIZZA. I dunno, its a whole maelstrom of stress and the challenge of eating right makes it worse, especially because now I actually WANT to eat right. The pizza, danish, muffins and other crap are shit I don't want- they don't "comfort" me anymore. At the same time, I hate the interogations and questioning of what I eat. Plus my dad is in the hospital which is a heap ton of shit. (Love my dad, but hospitals make me sick).

                              I hate going home, and it makes me sad. I guess it is about other people, but itjust adds onto a stressful life.

                              LOL, woe is me. Sorry.
