    • Yeah, I'm beginning to relax on food issues. And by that I don't mean eating cake every day. I just mean that for so long I think I've concentrated on changing diet the KEY to losing weight. It's a part of losing weight. And it's a part I feel like I mostly have down. I don't binge. Junkfood is a rare 1-2x a month thing with friends. I make almost everything I eat outside of that from scratch.

Like I said up there, I'm going to eat more seafood for more omega-3 and iodine, but I'm just not going to sweat over food issues that much anymore because I think I'm pretty damn responsible about it now to be honest.

I'm continuing to be active. I'm getting more sleep consistently. I'm improving the way I think about myself and life so that I'm not freaking out about everything - key part of that is realizing I only have so much control over what happens in my life. I can do my best. That's it.

So I'll just continue doing all that because it's all I can do. I will of course come back to report on any breakthroughs!

      • Sounds like you've hit a sweet spot, Lex. Getting the hang of healthy, joyful eating is, in my mind, a prerequisite to successful weight loss. Now you just have to cut back now and again, for one day or twenty, whatever you feel like, and the weight will gradually fall off. And stay off. Breakthroughs are not necessary. One step at a time will get you there just fine. And when you're enjoying the journey, one step at a time is fun too.
