    Yes, I tested positive this weekend I was going to wait till this Friday, when I have an appointment with my PCP, to start this thread but I can't wait to interact with all the other mommies-to-be.


    I'm going to continue eating Primal but occasionally partake of traditionally prepared Indian foods (rice and lentils) and avoid wheat and sugar. I also want to continue with my fitness regimen but I've been warned to take it really easy in the first trimester. Here's where I need your advice and suggestions.


    For those of you on my muggle (non-primal) Facebook profile, no word about this ok? Only my immediate family knows and I think I'm going to wait till I complete 3 months before I announce. Please feel free to share any good pregnancy-related resources: websites, books etc.

          Aw, cool! Congratulations! Everybody's 1st tri is so different, I think it's hard to say anything general except do your best and listen to your body. Any other advice annoyed me! But if you have specific questions, shout 'em out and I'll give you my best info or at least my personal experience. So, are you due in September?

              Most awesome. News. Ever!

              And yeah, I don't think you have to avoid exercising or anything like that... if you're up to it. I know I've been too konked out the whole time to even THINK about it aside from a couple walks (and I mean a couple good walks the whole trimester, not daily or weekly). If you feel good, go for it. If you don't , take it easy.

              Eating lots but still hungry? Eat more fat. Mid-day sluggishness? Eat more fat. Feeling depressed or irritable? Eat more fat. People think you've developed an eating disorder? Eat more fat... in front of them.
