I was thinking the same thing. Sobriety 101. As a wee girl (as G would say), I was pulled over and the orifice, um.. officer, asked me to walk a straight line. The barrage of insults I hurled at him would have made any sailor proud. The night did not end well.

I’ll try to make a long story short. ish. I was 19 – back in the day, many states had a drinking age of 18, but we couldn’t vote ‘til we were 21. Now it’s flipped – another reason I respect the law so much. [/sarcasm]

I was supposed to meet my boyfriend at a bar in the middle of nowhere. I would leave my car there and he would drive me home. He got shit-faced and passed out on the pool table.

I decide to drive myself home and I take a friend. At one point he says, “I think you should pull over.” “Why?” I ask. “Because there’s a cop car behind us flashing its light.”

I pull over. Cops ask me to get out of the car. Turns out I know one of them. Walk a straight line. “F*** you! You walk a straight line,” because at 19, I was as stupid as I was ballsy. “We’re taking you in.” Small town, upstate NY. My “arraignment” is in some cabin in the woods. The judge is in his bathrobe – I’m dyin’ if I’m lyin’. The judge sets bail – before he does, I say, “please go easy; my dad just left us and my mother doesn’t have a lot of cash.” He sets bail for my companion (who has a father who is rich as shit) for $100. He sets mine for $500.

              Me: $500?? F*** you $500.
              Judge (I swear): F*** you - $5000. LOL.

I spent the night in county.

P.S. Sea, I believe you, it's just that the stand on one foot thing was part of the roadside sobriety test cops used to do before they had the breathalyzers.

That looks absolutely perfect! And mushrooms are so low carb/low calorie - don't worry, just love them.

                            • I'm a cheapskate (Scots heritage) so I buy rump steak. If I fancy a treat, or its in sale I'll go for tbone.

This is what I've been using to workout what to enter into paleotrack:
