-18 lbs in 10 weeks (among other things)

    After some ups and downs the past few weeks I have decided to give the Whole30 thing another go, starting today.

    I will follow the same rules as before (i.e. no grains, no sugar), but with the exception that I will allow myself to drink chocolate milk after workouts.

    The main reason for this is that I have noticed that I tend to fall off the wagon whenever I give in to sweet cravings after working out, so I'm hoping that doing it this way will limit the sweets to just after the workouts. Hopefully, if I can satisfy the cravings immediately and without feeling bad about it, I will be able to stay away from temptations the rest of the time.

      The Whole30 thing hasn't been going too well this time around either. I have managed to stay away from sugar most of the time (staying away from grain really is no issue for me), but the "cheats" are still a bit too frequent...

      Still, there is progress, but it's rather slow. Today I weighed ~233lbs and measured my waist at 36.5".

      Yesterday's workout:

      Warm-up: 12 min. on treadmill (avg. speed: 9.5 km/h)
      Squats: 1x8 x 40kg, 1x8 x 50kg 1x8 x 60kg, 1x8 x 70kg

      Bench press: 1x8 x 60kg, 1x8 x 70kg, 1x8 x 80kg, 1x8 x 90kg
      Dips: 4x8
      Chin-ups: 3x3

            Also did some weighing and measuring yesterday, and currently I'm at ~231lbs with a 36" waist. I realize I won't be able to make my initial goal of ~220lbs and ~33.5" by November 1st, but still, I'm happy I'm progressing, although rather slowly.

                      I've been away for a while, but finally some good news on my progress. Today I weighed in at ~219.5lbs with a waist of 34". I'm quite happy about it.
