    Day 1. Sort of.


    B: orange juice. (yeah, wasn't hungry after a very primal dinner last night) But I see that 1 cp had over 27 grms of carbs. Won't be doing that again for a while.

    S: 1/2 cup plain whole fat yogurt w/about half cup straw, black and blue berries

    L: Big ass salad w/spinach, cranberries, ham & turkey. 1 boiled egg and Balsamic Vinegar. Oh and goat cheese!

    D: supposed to be trout but well, I am not hungry.


    I stuck the 'sort of' phrase up there because prob 10 days ago I started making major changes to what I ate. With the exception of a couple of slips, I've not had much in the way of grains/processed foods. With that, the biggest thing I've noticed is that I'm not hungry in the evenings. OR mornings. Quite by accident, I did a fast for almost 26 hrs late last week because the hunger simply was not there. Others have experienced this as I've read so wasn't worried too much. I am also learning to discern between boredom and hunger. That's a big challenge for me.


    My goal is to lose about 60lbs. I am 5'4" and about 210. And female that had a hysterectomy a couple of yrs ago. So, no hormones to assist with this process. Anyone out there that's been 'fixed' going thru the primal diet? Luck? Problems?


    I am currently healing from some soft tissue injuries in various parts of my body. I am hoping a diet change will help that healing process before softball starts again in March.


    Am using Fitday.com to track carbs, protein and fat. And calories. Though, it looks like I need to make myself eat a breakfast...so far today I am only hitting about 900 calories.

    Oops and Oh boy.


    B: 2 eggs w/spicy muenster, 1 pc pork sausage, 1/2 avacodo

    S: 1/2 cup yogurt with fresh mixed berries.

    L: 2 pcs of pizza & 1 pc of cheesecake.

    D: prob none as I will still feel like crap from my overeating/binging lunch.


    Day 1 went really well. Wasn't hungry when I got home so no dinner...

    Checked my caloric intake and it's well under 1000. No bueno.

    So, today. I made sure and had a great breakfast round 0630. Didn't get hungry till around 1:30 or so, then at my yogurt w/berries.

    But, well, was still hungry. Or bored. Not sure. But, I at 2 pcs of pizza and a pc of cheesecake.

    Now I feel like crap. And Fitday just yelled at me for going way over my carb intake.


    Sigh.


    Tomorrow. STarting again.


    yesterday's intake:

    Fat: 46.7 grms

    carbs: 54.5

    protein: 89.2

    alcohol: 15 < red wine.

      Ok, typing in here what I&#39;m eating is getting a bit tedious. Lol. Lazy much? Why yes I am.


      But today&#39;s a new day, right?


      Yesterday&#39;s totals are....

      Fat: 114 carbs: 136 protein: 114


      I know that&#39;s all backwards. Today will be better.


      B: 2 eggs w/spicy muenster, 1/3 kiwi, 2 orange slices.

      S: yogurt w/berries. (yes, I love this and never tire of it)

      L: big salad that I didn&#39;t eat from yesterday. Boo hiss....


      Not even gonna get into how I feel today. Body is still processing all that crap from yesterday.


      Need exercise. Tomorrow, yes!

        Hey, remember me? I&#39;m back & worse than ever. Fallen off and been run over by a couple of wagons.

        But yesterday, the kid wanted to weigh himself on one of those .25 machines at the store. So he did...He&#39;s a whopping 53lbs now! Lol.

        Then it was my turn.

        I did not let him see. I didn&#39;t even want to look. But when I did, it was 215. That&#39;s about 5 more than I&#39;ve ever weighed before.

        So what did I do? What any normal fat person would when given such news, I went and had beer and bbq. And spent a restless night tossing and turning.

        Tomorrow is Monday. Yes, I know, &#39;Tomorrow is a disease&#39;. But it&#39;s the best I can do right now.

        I don&#39;t want to be 40 and fat. I want to be 40 and running circles around those younger than me.

        Monday, new 31 day challenge right here. Bring it!

          Major big progress...for me at least.

          I made it to the gym by 0500 this morning. Did a &#39;slow&#39; warm up ride for 10 mins. Then performed a variety of pulling/pushing on the free weights for about 30. Feels good. When I got home, I took 2 out of our 3 dogs for a brief, slow walk.

          Had a great breakfast of 2 fried eggs, old fashioned pork sausage, an avocado and a couple cups of coffee. Black.

          I want to do this. I will do this.

              Did pretty good yesterday till dinner. SO decided we needed to go out to eat at a seafood restaurant. That wouldn&#39;t be so bad except for the 2 glasses of wine and key lime cheesecake and the 1 sourdough roll! I just couldn&#39;t resist...

              So, my breakdown yesterday was off the charts

              Calories 2,375

              Fat 120.9gm calories:1,053

              Carbohydrate 146.1gm calories: 561

              Protein 105.7gm calories: 427

              Alcohol 47.2 calories327


              Take out the cheesecake & this wouldn&#39;t look quite so bad...!


              I did make myself get up and walk the dogs this morning. Nice slow walk for about an hour. They are teenage dogs and hence a lot of start/stopping trying to teach them to not pull on the leash.


              Tomorrow is 30 mins more of pushing, pulling heavy things. I can do this. Early to bed tonight. Because I still feel so full from that gargantuan meal last night, I am just sipping on hot peppermint tea this morning. Wonder when, if I&#39;ll get hungry or if this&#39;ll be an impromptu IF?

              Hmm...

              Good shrimp & steak last night...mmmm

                Here we go again...

                This time with feeling! Nothing more than feeling!


                Did my push/pulling drills today to the tune of about 30 mins. Wasn&#39;t bad but it was at 0500 and that was EARLY! (But, I was able to get the SO out of bed & into the gym as well!)


                B: 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, half oz spicy muenster, 4 strawberries

                L: BAS!! with walnuts & salmon to top it off.


                We&#39;ll see if I&#39;m hungry after that.


                I am feeling a bit light headed/imbalanced today. Wonder if it&#39;s the almost 0 sugar in my meals? Probably. Have read about it in other journals on here and seen it mentioned in the forum. I can tough this out but it&#39;s a bit disorientating.

                  The light headed-ness has cleared up today. YAH!

                  Got my 30 min slow bike ride in at the gym today. Sorry, but it&#39;s too cold to do it outside right now!


                  D: (last night) 6 oz grilled chicken with lump crab meat! Delicious! 1 glass merlot yeah, I know.


                  B: IF&#39;ing today

                  L: (late) BAS w/6 oz of salmon and some berries. Less than 2 oz altogether


                  Stepped on the scale this morning and it registered 209.5. Not sure if the scale last week was right or not. Thinking not as I don&#39;t feel any difference in my clothes.

                      Eek...I am having a hard time meeting any type of goal in calories!

                      That is yesterday. As part of the challenge, I&#39;ve IF&#39;d once a day. I even added extra chicken and veggies at dinner. But, eating twice a day, I am not that hungry and when it is meal time, I am getting full quickly.


                      Also figured exericising would kick up my appetite...?


                      Shrug...not sure. Will try to squeeze in more calories today.

                        Wednesday...

                        B: 3 eggs w/ham and 6 slices of bacon, 2 cups coffee with 4 tblspn coconut milk

                        L: taco salad, minus chip

                        S: ham and cheese roll


                        Again, just wasn&#39;t hungry. And when I did, didn&#39;t take much to get me full.

                        Exercise yesterday was pushing/pulling. 30 mins worth.


                        Lets see what happens today. The carbs are getting easier to avoid.


                        I am off work for the next 3 days...and can keep my own schedule of sorts. Should be super easy!

                          Ugh.

                          2 month rotation at work of 5a - 2p M - F. That means I have a few hrs before the family gets home to exercise, etc.

                          2 months to form a new habit.

                          2 months to stay primal

                          2 months of needing to be in bed early to get sleep

                          2 months of kick starting this weight loss.


                          BF 2 eggs 2 pcs of bacon; 2 cups coffee w/half & half and 4tspns sugar.

                            Gym workout was good today. It cleared up the stuffy nose.

                              Somehow, I skipped a day of journaling. That was too easy.


                              Wednesday:

                              315 calories from jamiesons whiskey and 132 from 2 girl scout peanut butter/chocolate cookies.

                              Rough day yesterday. 1st day without our 3rd dog and dealing with a broken heart. The family that took him says &#39;he&#39;s an awesome, most amazing dog&#39;. Tell me something I didn&#39;t know.


                              But, his brother, Mikey, so far so good. No redness around incision and his appetite is where it should be.


                              Got my Grok on in the gym yesterday which helped some. Lots of pushing/pulling. Today, it&#39;s a slow hilly ride on the upright bike. Crappy weather is prob affecting my mood as much as anything. Cold and raining in Texas.


                              B: 2 eggs w/4slices bacon

                              L: about half cup of pork carnitas. didn&#39;t feel up to eating a cold salad.

                              D: Flounder, green beans & cauliflower mash


                              2 drinks of Jamiesons and 2 GS PB cookies.
