I'm not a doctor but I believe an infection is bacterial and a cold is a virus. Apparently you got one after the other.

      TL;DR shitty luck.

LOL yeah, I can get that. I call my lottery ticket money 'the price of hope' I know I will never win but if a buck a week keeps hope alive, eh, it is worth it.

            • Down 3 this morning. This is the only place I am announcing my losses. Unintentional sabotage trends to detail me so right now it's just here.

              • Ugh. Sorry you are sick again.
That's it, I'm buying a lottery ticket. I know a lady who won twice. Once was a million, the other was in the hundreds of thousands. Her secret. She played regularly.

                  • Ok, so the new issue of Paleo Magazine came yesterday. While I know it to be fabulous, mom is experiencing it for the first time. She is ALL OVER IT. Reading things out loud, excited etc. Then she says, hey, we eat pretty paleo here at home. (Biting tongue and smart asS remark "ya think"?) LOL

                    • congrats on the loss, so very sorry about the cold, ad DUH for the mom comment!

My grandfather played the lottery every week for years, he won a few times, nothing huge but some big ones, he always felt like he won his money back. Of course, for as many years as he played, he could have put a dollar a week into some kind of account and got interest on it (in those days savings accounts actually earned interest).

                        • So, even with a cold, my food was good this weekend. I am proud to say when mom brought home bagS of chips and guacamole, I did not have one. I did put some guac in some celery though. Almost all the chips are gone but I have to say, while I have succumbed in the past. It did not phase me this weekend.

The winds are horrendous here right now. 60mph is the average and does not include gusts. I may have to go to Texas to retrieve my trash cans.

                          • congrats on the will power!

We had winds like that last week and I think we are predicted to get them later today into tomorrow.

                              • So last night after picking Lil up we had to come back to my school so we could work on her science project. We were late getting out (well later than normal) and went out to eat. The least objectionable place was actually Olive garden. I had salad, fish and shrimp. Not a breadstick or a crouton and hot my food targets. This morning up only 3 (as compared to eating out elsewhere). I know its the residual sodium that can not be avoided eating out. Also, my fish had a sauce on it, I did not realize it would be like that or I would have said to skip it. Learning through errors.

The cold still rages on and I am trying to keep on top of it. Not easy with the temps being unpredictable and flipping cold! I have outdoor duty all next week in the morning. They are calling for rain and snow. The upside?? It will not be as cold, just wet.
