      • Negative Effects of Eating Too Much Mint

        don't know how much you had, but I was searching around and found this article that cautions people with asthma from using too much mint as it can cause breathing difficulty.

        • very interesting read. I have not experienced any breathing issues with mint as of yet but will keep it in mind. I take a small amount, add boiling water and let it steep. Then I add it to a 2 qt container with water with lemons. I have not done it today though.. being cautious. LOL


          Just finished another mother load in the truck. Worked up a sweat, took a bath and ready to unpack stuff. Still doing well for the DD. I do not feel hungry which is a good thing.

          • I have had scattered grumbles today, nothing serious, and am at work so not going to do anything about it. There is nothing here to eat, would have to go buy something-not gonna do it. I have to run an errand on the way home so by the time I get home it will be time to start dinner.

            • well, I held off until 4:30 and had an early-ish dinner. The plan is to go to bed by 8pm, thereby shutting down the inclination to eat (I hope). I keep telling myself, I can do this!!! I can do this because tomorrow is an UD!

              For my UD's:

              no wheat (thats just bad news to my body)
              easy on the dairy to no dairy (I might just save the dairy indulgence for ice cream) it is also hard on my body.
              only UD's will I allow myself a cocktail/lim-er-ita (they are so good) but limit to one

              I am tired of moving already.. ugh!

              oh.. I have been looking up iron rich foods for kids. My kid sometimes eats meat but not always. However, pistachios are pretty high in iron and she loves them. Sunbutter seems to have more iron that its nemesis peanut butter. Dried fruit like prunes and raisins are a good source. I am just trying to plan her school lunches in my head as well. I have a follow up/well child visit scheduled for Friday so at this time I am going to try and not borrow trouble regarding her lab work.

              • I saw a great pin where the mom copied the lunchables ideas she found compartmented tupperware and just used her own stuff. Cheaper and even when she used the same thing (ie. pepperoni) she was able to use the healthiest choices.

                • I have done this before and will continue. I just need to find better food she will eat. Some may say, she will eat when she is hungry..when you are talking about an ODD child, umm yeah.. it does not work like that.

                  • yeah, I get it, even if she wasn't ODD, there is something very primal about wanting to feed our children.

                    I pinned that site, it is actually very good as it tells you how much each ingredient costs too. She didn't do it but I saw some that used small tupperware within the big tupperware as well as those individual silicone cupcake maker.

                              • not a successful DD.. ended up with @ 1500 calories. I am going to try a couple nice UD and then a DD again. Not only that but my choice had wheat and I am feeling it this morning. My hands hurt and am a bit puffy. I also do not think I drank enough yesterday. That was probably what set me up to fail the DD. I did stay out of the ice cream though.. although, that might have been a better choice.

                                curriculum planning meeting
                                more packing at the old place
                                more unpacking at the new

                                note to self: post rumble strips and plans in common access for me
