  • I just finished my food journal for today and calculated the averages for the week. Today was a higher day than normal because, well.. it seems I can afford it.
    Calories.........carbs......................fat... ...............protein

    ok low for where I am going but I have a new direction. I am going to be getting back on the scale about daily though to monitor progress as well as take morning BS and not sure how often I should take blood ketones.

    • Looks like a good plan. I love how exact you are

      You & I both have to remember, if we are cycling calories, then the metal monster is going to cycle up and down too. We have to watch for the overall (hopefully downward) trend

      • metal monster? Yes, I think if I keep my AVERAGE at 1600, I might be back to my losing streak. I hope. I am keeping everything on a spreadsheet. Perhaps we are all rubix cubes with our own answer to the puzzle... I get tired of supposing this and that..LOL

        oh yeah.. metal monster.. flippin scale! Well, I am not weighing myself while on spring break but I will be diligent on my tracking.

        • I am going to weigh daily along with all the other data. I will also absolutely not do any major changes to the macros for at least a few weeks. I really need to force myself to stay the course when I start weighing daily. That is my biggest issue with the daily weighing.

          • Well, dd and I have spent the weekend at moms (my car is still in the shop-hope to get it back Monday) since this way I can have access to a car if I need it. Anyway, I feel like I have lost..I can not explain it, but my scale is at home and do not want to use another (I see sabotage to myself if they do not align). While I "feel" like I have lost, my rings are tight because we had ribs with a dry rub last night- gobs of sodium. Today I also measure (left my tape at home..grrr going to see if there is one here). Last week I took initial measurements with Lily's help. I figure its good practice for her reading measurements but then she can see mommy making progress and will quit asking me to take a bite of this or that (like candy, toast etc.).

            Sleep was better last night. I still have periods of waking up then going back to sleep in the night. Its annoying.

            • I would not bother with a different scale either.

              My sleep is good for a few days then not so good for a day or 2 in a constant cycle. I wish I could figure out what makes it good and what keeps it from being good.

              • My sleep is not good, either, but it hasn't been in a really long time. I have done pretty much everything they say, and still I can't quite get it right. Whichever one of us finds the answer first, we have to promise to share!

                I would not weigh on the other scale, either. No two scales come out with the same number and it's sure to cause angst in either case

                    • hahaha! It is likely that the solution is a paragraph long explanation, so I could do like all the dieting gurus and turn that paragraph into a book and call it a miracle cure!

                      • Last night was successful.. I entered the data in a spreadsheet last night here. This morning I am doing well as well. Since I am not cutting my protein at this time (I did and stalled), I even had some bacon and eggs with my BPC (single portion).

                        To do today:
                        -Check my mail.. I have not been to the post office for my mail in easy 5 days. The whole lack of car thing threw my routine off.
                        -the marinating meat I have in the fridge needs to go in the dehydrator!!
                        -Prep the pineapple and grapes for dehydrating when the jerky is done.
                        -Laundry
                        -Start the packing process and list making of must haves.. my list and Lily's list
                        -make some fat bread to take with me..YUM!
                        -make Lily some breakfast options for this next week
                        -grocery store.. need sweetener, eggs, milk and whatever I can remember from my list at home

                        This week:
                        -Tomorrow if I get my car back, I need to get it washed and detailed inside. It will take me a couple of hours in the afternoon. The mats inside are muddy from the snow we had a while back. I want a clean and tidy car for when we leave.
                        -I have got to get a couple more pair of jeans and some bras.. Ugh.. hate bra shopping!
                        -Finish and calculate grades while fielding emails from parents on what their kid can do to raise their grade 2 days before the grades are due when I have been talking to the students for weeks.. grrr... rant..

                        I am hoping this week ZOOMS by!

                              • fun! My kids are all about the getting there, they get irritated if we stop along the way. And now that they both drive if I say I am getting tired of driving they will step up and take over.
