B - boiled eggs with romaine and onions and slices of avocado, drizzled with a little olive oil. Yumm
L/D - everything ready for a BAS with some carnitas on top ... may or may not do a "lunch" meal, likely opting for an early dinner thing, with a small grapefruit this afternoon if I get the munchies
I absolutely love that you were able to get rid of what has been causing you issues.

It's certainly taken long enough ... I honestly thought that I was doing everything right when I started my journey back to Paleo / Primal back in 2010. I was tracking it all, and yeah, getting pretty frustrated at times with the lack of changes, especially when I would read of the amazing transformations on here.
I pushed harder on the weights, and yes, I saw changes in strength there. I well remember how difficult it was on the leg press when I first started back at the gym in the spring of 09, when the trainer put two 45 plates on there and told me to do ten reps. I barely managed 3 .... and a year and a half after that, I was pushing 530 lbs. on the press for 20 reps and not breaking a sweat. Yet ... the weight loss still eluded me.
I hoped that sooner or later I would figure this all out, get the meals tweaked just enough that I would start seeing and feeling the progress. For me, it just came a little later ... but, the bottom line is, I am persistent and giving up was not going to happen.
I haven't "given up" things like wheat, corn, dairy, nightshades, stevia, sugars of any kind, fast foods, processed foods or any of the many allergen reactive foods I have ... no, I haven't given them up.
I ELIMINATED them from my life because they don't serve my purpose and goals of a healthy active lifestyle.
Even the occasional healthy protein shake and the pre-workout drink (both made with stevia) that did increase my energy were in all actuality obstacles that were preventing me from burning the extra fat and preventing me from having the natural energy that I can have, simply with eating super clean and changing my workouts.
I'm not caught up in the worry of how long it will take me to get from here to my goal, I am just enjoying the hell outta the journey to it .... and that in itself is pretty damn exciting !
Skipped the grapefruit yesterday and opted for a tiny little orange my son brought to me ... basically a two-bite treat !
B - small omelet - onions, a little ground, avocado slices on the side
L plans ... cucumber and onion salad with a little pickled cauliflower, chicken
D - BAS with carnita meat, possibly some baked squash ...
Started the day with my eggs, a good swirl of coconut oil, onions and some homemade turkey sausage ... mmmm and coffee !
Didn't get hungry until around 4, munched on a handful of leftover carnitas and had a second cup of coffee.
Tonight, chicken and onions rolled up in romaine leaves and a small grapefruit on the side. Yummm
Way to go chica. Glad to hear that you have dialed everything in.
That carnitas is the BOMB!!! I try to make it every week now.
I can't seem to get enough of the carnitas ... but, I did do this earlier in the month. Picked up a roast and did the same spice rub on it, cooked it in the oven just like the pork. First time I really enjoyed a beef roast !
Long day, a little tired, but likely due to no workout.
B - eggs, coffee and turkey sausage
L - ground mixed with fine chopped red cabbage, onion and a little cucumber, all rolled into romaine leaves
4 strawberries mid afternoon
D - BAS with ground, veggies
Day 30 WOW ... it really went by fast and I am even more determined now to stick with the program and not attempt to add anything back in.
B - scrambled eggs, bacon and black coffee
L - BAS with ground, onions, radish, red cabbage and half an avocado
D - cooking right now, lovely little pork chops in a little coconut oil, will add onions to glaze. Steamed brocolli and sliced cucumbers with pickled carrot and cauliflower. Yummmmmmy
Day 34 ...
BIG winds blew in the other day, knocked out the electricity for the biggest part of the day. The following day, I try to get on and we have no internet. Scrambling through the bills to see what was paid and lo and behold, my son who was paying the internet bill this round, forgot. Got that taken care of without issue, but I was feeling a little weird, so no computer time for me.
Evidently the winds blew in something and I've been sick for the past three days.
Fever, nausea, sneezing, congestion. Generalized yuckiness.
I haven't gone off the Whole30 plan, but the past two days have been pretty sparse as far as food goes. A small bowl of meat and an egg covers both days. Just couldn't handle food. I am feeling a little better today, although still a little weak. Not fun.
I was able to drink a full "bubba keg" mug of water yesterday, which was good because I know I was dehydrated ... and one mug of water is not very much for me. Today will be better though !
Oh, I did weigh in on Day 30 .... and I was quite dismayed to see that there was absolutely no change on the scales. My face is a little thinner, and my ring is a little loose, but no changes with clothes or scale. That was not what I was hoping for.
Maybe my body needs a little more time to adjust to this ? (I hate that thought, it's the same one I have had for the past two and a half years !)
I'm not giving up ... just a little dismayed.
