  • Sounds like Q is getting his swagger back. Glad to hear that you are now gainfully employed again. My sister has been unemployed for 9 months and was only able to get a 3 week temp job. Glad to hear that things are looking up for you!

It has been a while since i have posted a log entry. Four months in fact. That doesnt mean that I have been slacking off, it means that i have been a bit too grumpy to post and then i got busy, so lets recap. September 1 I was "excused" from employment. That was the second time in six months. I have been submitting W-2's for 33 years and I had not been "let go" since i was 16. Being gainfully employed for 24 years means that you think you have done a great job. however the bottm line was over the last 24 years i had only saved up enough to barely make it over the 6 weeks I was unemployed. That was disapointing to realize. There is a sense that you are working and so you are doing the right thngs. Life happens and the amount i had saved was pretty much all i had ever been able to save, however being faced with not only the loss of my health goals but also my entire way of life was a sobering event to say the least. Bluntly I did not make a good showing of it, at least not to myself which is all that counts.

However never let it be said that hard work doesnt pay off as the reality was I was already qued up for my next position even if i didnt beleive it. I had 3 solid opportunites and 2 offers in that 6 weeks. I accepted the one that was both close to home and familiar. I am greatful to be working with parts of my old team doing what we do best Justice applicaitons. The position is not a management one which i am used to, but perhaps this is even better and the pay is fine.

Thankfully I still had cow during all that time off and coconut milk so i was able to stay ketogenic, and even managed to keep all my supplementation going. Once i knew i had a position i chose to tackle bioidentical hormones. That has changed my physical capacity.

Overall life has become far better than before, i enjoy my work and I do it well and I am appreciated and respected. I ordered the Kruse Labs and am hoping ot get the results next week and perhaps i can tune more things.

I want 2012 to be about physical success. I want to figure out how to remove another 100 pounds from thsi frame. To set up the metabolic powerhouse that shreds any toxins and excess adipose tissue whole improving muscle density and stamina.

      I can because I must.
AWESOME!!!! I've been thinking about you man...glad to see things turning around... btw I was srsly craving FAT Today - so I made your "Keto Cafe Mocha" OMEFFINGGOD! Phenomenal! Instead of 1/2c coconut milk - I added a 1/2cup of the Primal Coconut "Crack" Creamer (1can coconut milk + 1/2C of CO, + 1 egg + vanilla extract of awesomness!)

            • Keto Cafe Mocha - is Q awesome invention:

1/2C coconut milk + Coffee + 1-2 Tbs of unsweetened cocao powder - served hot. I subbed the coconut milk with the primal Coconut "Crack" Creamer! It rocked so hard... it was awesome... it tasted like dark chocolate coffee truffles rolled in coconut! ....hummmmm may have to figure out how to make those....

Would that work with HWC? I can't do coconut milk without wanting to gag. Do you all use the canned stuff or the stuff that is sold in the refrigerated section in the store?

                  • OK, I just have issues with coconut milk. It's fairly chalky and I don't use it often enough that it goes to waste. Yes, I've grown mold on it.

                    Nope, about 2-3 hours north

LOL. That's the nicest offer I've had all year.

Ah where to start. my labs were great, honestly. I didnt expect my blood chemistry to be so good and yet my body not following suit. Perhaps i need a dexa scan. I had said that when i got to 300 I would do another bod pod, but perhaps I should do it now. I mean what if my body isnt as obese as I think it is? What if this is a matter of tone. I admit that my forearms and calves are tight and muscular. Hell i can even see veins in them. my torso and belly are the touchstones for me and so all i truly care about is being flat. But what if that isnt possible given my gentic heritage? How many years have i waster attempting the wrong solution . So much weight trainign and Cardio for what, just to find that i was totally on the wrong track. Diet certainly seems to be king. And so i wait, I wait for my body to accept the new programming. I have been keto since September and the boring has set in. on the other hand when i allowed for a variance on Christmas day i found that i just dont truly care for the old way of eating at all, and that food was pretty primal. I have added dairy back, or perhaps this is an anomaly and dairy still needs to be limited.
Eating to live is not an easy thing. I am fiding that attempting to push the macronutrient envelope i am more often stuffed than not. I would prefer to not fell so full all day yet i am just doing what my body wants/ needs and my labs tand to show that i am on the right track. If anything i still under ea, but honesly when woudl i get more in. BAB keeps me till 5 -6 and to be honest ther are days i want to skipp dinner. when i compare and contrast my current WOE with my previous WOE i know i could not have afforded to eat that much food let alone would i have chosen to do so. The 800 kcals daily regimine was too well ingrained. Hell i eat more at breakfast now than i would have over the course of three days before.
One day i hope to look at my body and feel comfortable showing it to strangers. i wish that i could before i die. I have worked tremendously hard to have accomplished what little i have till date. it can be extremely disappointing on a day to day level. Yet i have proven to myself at least he no matter the struggle i shall endure, even if i would prefer to lay this burden down; can anyone truly lay down thier own burden? I think not.

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them. To die, to sleep—
No more—and by a sleep to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to. 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep—
To sleep—perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub!
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of disprized love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death
The undiscover'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action. Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
                            Be all my sins remembered.

                            • Nice to see Shakespeare being quoted. The irony of this is that I had to memorize and perform this soliloquy back in high school. I'm the only person that passed that course.

I definitely understand where you are with your body. I have moments like this as well. I've tried staying the course as you would say, but this month has been hell for me. I am finally realizing why working in a call center wrecks havoc on one's diet. I'm going back on plan the first of the year. I need to clean things up and hopefully I will be able to shortly.
