  • I'm having an icy-cold Heineken, Sistah
    Fishing would be SO much fun; and if we caught something---even better.
    But...just being out on the water with this particular gentleman would be closely akin to Heaven ;-)

    • T, that's hysterical, cuz hubs and pupper and I tried to do Iron Mountain today... um, not so much! It wasn't super hot... but it was too hot for me. Plus I've been having this wierd muscle weakness thing going on, and between both of them we probably only made it a mile up, if that, and then came back down! Maybe another day when it's cooler and earlier in the day! It's just really open and NO shade or cover, for sure... I wish we could find a decent FLAT walking path with dogs that had something interesting to see... Hmmm.....

                • Phew what a day! Nonstop work all day and I have to work some more tonight too. I'm afraid this is how it will be through the 16th.

                  Eats: greek yogurt, walnuts, 2 HB eggs, 2 bacon, 1/2 sweet potato, 1 c. grapes, deep dish pizza quiche
                  Exercise: W1D1 C25K

                  The quiche is in the oven. Will let you know how it turns out. It looks and smells good fo sho.

                  I need a massage! My upper back and neck are so tense.

                    i need an egg recipe that i can make, fridge, then bring to work for the AM.

                            • Deep dish pizza quiche

                              Ingredients
                              :
                              4 oz cream cheese, at room temperature
                              4 large eggs

                              1
                              /3 cup whipping cream

                              1
                              /4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
                              1 Tbsp minced fresh chives

                              1
                              /2 tsp minced garlic

                              1
                              /2 tsp dried oregano
                              1 cup shredded Asiago cheese
                              2 cups shredded full-fat mozzarella cheese

                              1
                              /2 cup tomato sauce
                              2 cups sliced mushrooms, sauteed
                              2 Italian sausages, casing removed, crumbled, and cooked (I used a package of ground pork)

                              Preheat the oven to 350
                              F (175C). Butter a 13 x 9-inch (32.5 x 22.5-cm) baking dish.
                              In a food processor, blend together the cream cheese and eggs until smooth. Add the cream, Parmesan,
                              chives, garlic, and oregano. Blend until smooth.
                              Scatter the Asiago and 1 cup of the mozzarella in the prepared baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over
                              the cheese. Bake for 30 minutes.
                              Spread with the tomato sauce. Scatter the mushrooms and sausage over the top. Cover. with the remaining
                              1 cup mozzarella.
                              Turn on the broiler and broil about 6 inches from the heat until bro n and bubbly. Let sit for 5 minutes

                              or so before cutting.

                              I mixed the sausage in with the egg mixture instead of putting it on top.

                              It was GOOD!
