    Today was a busy day at work. I stayed 100% today! Only ate 900-1000 cals.. Not very hungry.. Tomorrow is another busy day and I get to work out after work! Fun, fun!

      Well, guess it's been long enough since I last posted. Memorial Day Weekend is gone and past... Work should start slowing down and the "dog days" of summer are right around the corner. Time to get back to the grind. Was originally going to start P90X on June 1st, but I've decided that as long as I keep losing weight doing what I'm doing, then I'm not going to change it up yet.

      Current workouts are Mondays and Wednesdays - 10-15 mins of cardio and 30-50 minutes of strength training. On days I feel like doing more, I do more. On off gym days, I either play basketball or do other things like walk slowly for long periods of time. This last weekend we spent over two hours of straight walking a a WWII reenactment. It was a blast. Got a good bit of sun and exercise.

      Today I only ate 2 times. Once first thing in the morning and then again after 6pm tonight. Getting used to less food less frequently. I've had two 24 hour fasts so far and intermittently fast when I feel moved to do so...

      So, last Friday 6/3 was 28 days Primal. Or at least somewhere between 85-95% primal. I do have the occasional lapse and still have a diet soda. Not every day, but I've probably had one every week so far. Looking to quit that totally.. I am trying to replace it with coffee (black) and tea (unsweetened) when I get tired of drinking water. I guess that most times that I have a soda it is due to either deciding to drink, or going somewhere like a movie theatre and wanting something other than a bottle of water. I will work on this..

      Back to Friday 6/3 - 28 days and I am at 244.2 lbs. I have now lost roughly 14 lbs in 28 days. I started at 315 lbs on 1/1/11 and lost 57 lbs before going Primal. I am now 71 lbs down since the beginning of the year. Very happy, but not done. I haven't been this light in over 11 years.. I can't wait to hit 215 lbs because I haven't been that light since 1998. Goal is 205 lbs at the moment with a possibility of going as low as 185-195 lbs. I haven't been that light since 1994!!

      Well, time to browse some forums... Peace...

        Had a hell of a workout tonight. See below:

        6/8 - treadmill - 15 mins, 135 avg HR, 148 cals

        Strength Training - 50 mins

        DB Bench Press - 35lb x 10 reps, 40lb x 12 reps (w/help last 2)

        DB Incline Press - 35lb x 12 reps, 25lb x 15 reps

        Decline Cable B-Press - 11(level?) x 12 reps, 9 x 20 reps

        Assisted Dips - 225lb x 15, 225lb x 15

        Tri-kickbacks - 15lb x 12 reps (both sides), 20lb x 12 reps (both sides)

        Rope Cable Ext - 50lb x 12 reps, 40lb x 16 reps, 30lb x 15 reps

        Torso Rotate - 80lb x 15 reps (both sides), 90lb x 15 reps (both sides)

        AB Crunch - 28lb x 10 reps (left,center,and right)

        AB Pulldown - 120lb x 15 reps, 130lb x 15 reps, 130lb x 15 reps


        While reading PrimaLeaf's thread tonight, I came to the determination that I won't be weighing myself for the next 30 days. 7/3/11 will be the next tine I weigh. And if I'm still moving the scale in 30 days then I will make it another 30 after that. Also I decided to do everything in my power to be as close to 100% PB as possible. No momentary lapses with diet soda, no alcohol, and paying special attention to make sure I'm getting my good fats in every day. On top of that I'm going to stop watching TV or playing video games within 2-3 hours of bed to make sure I'm getting adequate quality sleep.

          Good job of getting back on track after slip-ups. Those are bound to happen to most of us. No big deal if you are getting more and more on track overall.

            Played basketball for just over an hour last night in my VFFs. Wound up with blisters. Had a lot of fun, the shoes were very comfy, but I can't deal with quarter sized blisters on both big toes every time I play ball. Also have one the size of three quarters on the ball of my left foot. Gonna make today at work fun.

            Wondering if I should get the 5 finger socks for the Vibrams? Some have suggested that it would help. Im not sure.. Might have to just suck it up.. Suggestions?


            Breakfast today was 6 slices of uncured organic bacon and three scrambled eggs seasoned to my liking. Great start to the day!

                Long day at work, still here till 11pm EST.

                Dinner tonight was a salad:

                Romaine lettuce, cucumbers, slow roasted pulled pork, caramelized onions, tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and creamy ranch dressing. It was awesome!!

                Feeling good today aside from the blisters on my feet, but even they feel much better. Gonna try to have a rest/IF day tomorrow starting right now. 7:00pm today till 7:00pm tomorrow. This will be my third attempt at a 24 IF. I realize this may be a "cheap" way of achieving 24 hours since I will be sleeping for at least 8-9 hours of the time, but I think it should count. Hehe!

                            Wow, over a month since I posted last.. Well, today was a light day.

                            B - 3 eggs, 5 oz of top round steak, 1 tsp butter.

                            D - salad (very veggie pre-packed), tomatoes (grape), carrots, grilled chicken breast, red bell pepper, and Annie's CowGirl Ranch dressing.

                            Did very little today exercise wise. Only 20 pushups since I accepted the challenge to try to get to 100 in six weeks. Not sure that's entirely possible, but we can only try, right?

                            Tomorrow, work all day, gym workout after! Hope it's a good session!

                              No recommitment of any sort, just gonna take it a day at a time.

                              3 easy over eggs and 5-1/2 slices of bacon for breakfast. One cup of Dark Magic Roast coffee (k-cup).

                              Eggs were cooked in the bacon grease. Eggs (Nature's promise cage free brown eggs) bacon (Nature's Promise uncured bacon with no antibiotics or added nitrates or nitrites). These are what is economical and closest I can get to good stuff until I start buying from a meat share/co-op, etc.

                              Work 12:30-11pm today. Plan on getting up early tomorrow and going hiking at Ricketts Glen in Benton, PA. Hope to post some pictures later. I'm going rain or shine!

                                Remember this tomorrow. Hiking is about the journey, not the destination!

                                What makes it so much fun for me is that I notice something different every time I am up in the hills. Some days it is about distance, some days it is just a camera hike. Never the same way twice!
                                Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.
