BBC News - Powerful cosmic blast as black hole shreds star

Are stars part of the primal diet?
    God this makes me hungry.

I saw you comment in my journal, thought I'd catch up on yours. I happen to be one of the females that thrives on primal. I also happen to truly believe that scales lie like a 2 drink skank. Chunk the scale out the window and go by how your clothes fit and what stops wobbling. You look pretty damn good, and that's coming from a straight chick!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

Thanks!! Unfortunately, my clothes fit the same (if not tighter). I just don't want to move in the wrong direction. I know I need to cut my effing dark chocolate habit, that's for sure. Thanks a lot for your kind words, I'm going to put a piece of tape over the scale or something. I always love to hear that the primal WOE works for women. Getting into it isn't easy.

          I second ditching the scale.

Take your measurements instead and check them once a week. Daily changes are all going to be water weight fluctuations and will drive you crazy.

FWIW, after my initial 4 pound water weight loss, I lost nothing for 2 months eating 99% Primal. I only had 14 pounds or so to lose.

I did a variety of things to get the fat to drop. You can read my journal, if you want.

I'm now maybe 1 pound away from visible abs.

Primal works fine. I think it can take 6-8 weeks for your metabolism to shift and most folks aren't patient enough.

If you look at this as a lifestyle change, rather than a diet, it will make it much easier!

Thanks, that helps a lot. I know I am not far from visible abs - I can see them on the sides. I do think of this as a lifestyle change but I think that when you commit to a big change, you really want to see results that are reassuring that you made the right decision. I'll definitely hop over to your journal!

Put about 30 miles on the bike this weekend! I'm going to need new tires before too long...
Guy at EMS called me a "little lady" to my boyfriend, and asked him if he wanted to do some "real biking" without me. It was really insulting.
The best thing about being female is the fact that we are consistently underestimated by men, intentionally or not. I love being underestimated, it means I have the chance to show you how to treat women as though we are capable adults, not babies who can't open jars or reach things on high shelves.

I wish getting tons of exercise would cancel out the fact that I have been eating tons of food lately. Like 1800-2000 calories a day. I'm not trying to go crazy with low-carb obsessions because I am very active, but I'm hoping that I can break even.

ICELAND on Saturday!!! Holy crap!! What a great country for primal living, too. Lots of meat, fish, and great dairy products.

                Insanely busy.
I've been eating a lot of salad and weird vegetable things (sliced beets) and very little meat lately. I don't know why. Maybe it's due to my woman-moon-cycle that I really don't crave meat at certain times. There are days when I'd rather have a juicy steak than a hot million dollars but it hasn't been recent. Yesterday I had a coconut curry for dinner. It feels so incomplete without rice.

Something has been making me really bloated/inflamed these past few days and I'm trying to figure out what.

I'm feeling really puffy still and up 2lbs. Still trying to figure out why.
I leave for Iceland tomorrow, will be there ten days and hoping to have tons of great primal food. Perhaps TOO primal... I'm not sure the vikings cared too much for taste.
Have an awesome week, and stay strong to everyone doing primal for the full month!!
