    2 Cups Hot Tea
    2 Cups Tap Water with 2 Fish Oil Capsules, 1 Osteo BiFlex, 1 Multivitamin

    L: 3 Cups of Iceberg Lettuce

    6 Ounces leftover ham from Easter
    2 TBSP Poppy Seed Dressing
    2 Cups Hot Tea
    2 Cups Tap Water

    D: 12 Ounces Grilled, Marinated Top Sirloin Steak

    2 Cups Spaghetti Squash
    1.5 Cups Fresh Green Beans
    1/2 Tomato marinated in Dill Vinagrette
    1 TBSP Butter
    1 TSP Parmesan Cheese
    2 TSP Bacon Fat
    2 Cups Hot Tea

      Hey Pebbles,

      Thanks for the warm welcome. Heck, starting is easy - making this a way of life is probably not.

      Looking to lose 100 lbs. Ideal weight is around 165 lbs.

      I'm 56 years old - I want to feel 36 not 76. I'm hoping dietary changes can help reverse some of the Arthritic pains and movement restrictions that have been creeping up on me.

      Time will tell..............

        Yesterday was the first time in a long, long time that I did not eat anything after 7:00 PM. I went to bed about 1:00 AM and was refreshingly not hungry in the 6 hours following my dinner and when I went to bed. I have historically been a night time binge eater. Let's hope this trend continues.

          DAY 2: May 12, 2011

          Got up at 7:00 AM.

          Was not really hungry so I did not eat anything. This is not unusual for me - I generally do not crave food in the morning.

          B: Took my supplements

          2 Fish Oil Capsules
          1 MultiVitamin
          2 Osteo BiFlex Caplets
          4 Cups Hot Tea
          2 Cups Tap Water

          12:15 PM - It's lunch time and I'm still not hungry. Again, this is not unusual for me. What I have found by observing my habits, is that I will get extremely tired right after I eat lunch, and actually will find it hard to concentrate unless I take a short 30 - 45 minute nap. If I don't eat, then typically I can work right through until dinner.

          I will monitor my actual hunger and eat if I feel hungry. I would like to get in a routine where I am spreading my calorie consumption somewhat evenly throughout the day.

          L: Did not eat lunch today

          4 Cups Hot Tea
          2 Cups Water

          8:30 PM

          D: Finally took time to make something - I find that I am not so quick to eat if I can't just grab something and stuff in my mouth ;-)

          4 Eggs
          4 Ounces Bob Evans Sausage
          4 Ounces Button Mushrooms
          6 Ounces Yellow Onions
          1 TBSP Bacon Grease
          2 Cups Hot Tea
          2 Cups of Tap Water

          9:15 PM

            Welcome. I have only one piece of advice (well, so far) ... ixnay on the iceberg!

            Iceberg lettuce is a waste of time and money. Switch to romaine, baby spinach, arugula or mixed greens so at least you get some nutritional value.

                Hi Belinda,

                Thanks for the comment. I am aware that Iceberg lettuce is nothing but water, but I like the taste/texture and I picked up 3 large heads for 35 cents each. I am "Frugal" by nature - some call me "Cheap". Sometimes we need to eat what we can find and afford. I will worry about tweaking my eating once I can train myself to stick to the Primal Diet.

                At least I didn't put croutons and thousand island dressing on it ;-)

                            Here are what I see as my Pros and Cons for the first 6 Primal Days

                            PROS:

                            Eating way less than I was eating before starting Primal. Probably at least 50% of normal Caloric Intake
                            Sleeping better at night

                            CONS:

                            Feel Bloated
                            Mildly Sick To My Stomach Most Of The Day
                            Diarrhea - not urgent, but have not had a normal BM since going Primal

                            Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions
