  • Good luck with your Whole30! I have some kind of arthritis, I think, as well. It gets exacerbated by too much intake of PUFAs.

    • Thanks, I am sure eating Paleo is going to help arthritis issues, it's all in the food. Let food be thy medicine.


      130.2 today, not a good thing. I'm looking at July as the month I perfect my whole 30, eat clean, eat whole. My taste is starting to change already. I am finding the sweetness in a plumb more attractive then a chocolate bar.

      • 130.4 Today, that is a all time high for this year, perhaps even last year as well. Ug, time to trim the tree and cut the fat. My fat, not the diet fat. I am fasting each day and keeping the diet clean, until I see my old stats back.

        • My weight all the way up to 134.6 and I freaked out, but it was only for a couple of days, now I am 126.6 and feeling much better, I'm ready whole 30 book. It's a good read, I am learning a lot from it. My hip is sore this week and I am limited too what I can do, but I just am hoping rest and supplements will help me.

          • I am feeling better lately, I have switched my focus to fish rather then red meat and I will see if that tweaking helps any or not. I still am not game to do much hiking so am doing yoga each day, it should help strengthen my weak muscles over time. It's gentle and doesn't seem to hurt. My weight is 128, I'm ok with that, long term I think 126 would be the best weight for me. I used to always need to be 124, but I think now that is a little light as I am fairly tall.

            • My weight was all the way up to 135.8 last night, my usual highest is 134 about 2 years ago, this is not a record I want to be breaking. I am fasting until I head the other direction.

              • This morning I was 131.2, my highest ever morning weight since losing my weight 6 years ago. I don't want to keep sliding back up and since I am not able to exercise much due to joint issues, I have to be extra careful with my diet. My aim right now is a mostly fruit and fish diet, this is what I seem most drawn to, tropical foods, island fish and salads. Hard going in the crisp winter, but I love the feeling fresh tropical foods invoke in me.

                  • 132.8 today, I am starting a 10 day juice fast to reboot my body and release addictive food habbits that have crept in over winter. I've also taken up cycling instead of hiking at too much walking was wearing my hips out and I have suffered an overuse injury this winter. I think I can get my cadio in 20 mins without it overusing my joints. Before I was walking 1-2 hours per day. I loved it but now see it was a little addictive as I already am fairly active with my kids. Moving forward walking is gone as it caused this bad injury that almost crippled me. Now I aim to do 10-20 mins cycling on grass per day and 15-30 mins Yoga per day, with 1-2 days rest per week.

                    • I've been fasting all week, trying to push through and reach a decent new weight. It was hard the first few days but the last couple was much easier. I dropped down to 129.8 this morning. 4 pounds in one week, so that is good. I feel much better a few pounds lighter, though I had a reefed tonight, being Saturday night and all, I let my hair down. I've had a decent meal now and am ready to push through for another week of fasting. This time next week I want to be 127. Ready, set, go!

                      • It's taken me an extra week but this morning I was 127.4, after two days of fasting. I've had 1000 calories today and feel strangely guilty, but I am back on the fasting wagon, and hopefully I won't be too much higher in the morning. I'm pushing ahead this week to reach my goal of 124.

                          • 129.8 Today,

                            I have decided to create a fusion diet of Raw food fruitarian on one hand, and fish rich paleo on the other hand. Grains and sugar are out of course. Whole foods are in as well as daily fasting 16-22 hour range. I am kick starting this with a week of restriction 500 calorie days.

                            Day one complete 500 calories, fast Started 8pm

                              • It,s just a little famine before the feast later this month. I am trying to increase autophagy, lower IGF 1 levels and other such goodies :-)

                                Today I,ve had sardines and a apple after a 22 hour fast. 300 Calories.
