About your sore rear. I hiked 12 miles up some really steeeep slopes yesterday so mine hurts too. Doesn't make either one of ours feel better but I just wanted to say, "I feel your pain."
Still hurting! Almost to the point of gotta-brace-myself-to-sit-down-and-pee.

This is the kind of training I need to be doing more of if I am going to make it up 19,500 feet of mountain in five days. I think I may add some of those lunges to my PBF routine.

          The Rear-End Report
          It's feeling much better--the good-kind-of-sore instead of the I-can't-sit-down-sore.

          Exciting News of the Day
          I'm fairly comfortable doing 1 un-assisted chin-up. I rule.

          The Valentine's Day Treat
Paleo Whoopie Pies from Health-Bent. I didn't add the food coloring, and I made a couple other modifications, but they were fantastic. I'll give you a little nibble, if my little cookie monster doesn't gobble them up first

          Such a great helper!

          *Homer Simpson Voice* Mmmmm...chocolate.

As For The Rest of Today
          B: nada
L: Deviled Egg, couple slices of ham & swiss, spoonful of almond butter...what?
          D: Chicken, bok choy, cauli-taters
S: 2 of those amazing little chocolate pies

          Misc. Stuff
Just found out our local running club posts their 2011 race schedule in 2 weeks--time to find out which 5k's I'm running. OH, and more news, my BFF has signed on to go "Primal," and I'm so excited for her! She had twins back in March, and has been struggling to lose weight since then. I can't wait to hear how it works out for her!

          The End.

Finally made it to your page! LOVE IT!!!! Love Cedar Point myself. This may be our last full year in Ohio so I want to take the kids up there before we leave.

Love the food porn!!! When you made your bratwurst and kraut, did you cook that in a crockpot? That just looks amazing and I want to make that. I may be the only one to eat it but oh well. Also, definitely making the whoopie pies and taking them to my work for a treat for my birthday next month. Figured since I am no longer participating in potlucks here, I can at least make a treat periodically.

Oh, I used to looove that brand back when I ate pb&j all the time. The blueberry one was my favourite, and the fig one is amazing when you eat it on brie.

I didn't. I just boiled the brats then poured out the water and browned them in the pan. I never heat my sauerkraut, as it kills a lot of the beneficial *bugs* in it.

We don't make it a habit to eat jelly, but we got them as samples the other day, and they were too good to resist

                            WOD:
Picked up an entire yard full of dog poop. Seriously, an entire yard. The snow has finally melted, and all I could see was crap...everywhere. Did I mention I have a rottweiler? :/ 2 hours later, I did some LHT~also known as, lifting the massive garbage bag full 'o shit. Oy, gotta love springtime.

                            Other Stuff:
                            • Our bees were out buzzing around today: another successful winter!
                            • My flowers are coming up This makes me very happy!
                            • I made pork fried "rice" that was to die for last night.
                            • I'm doing better on my pull-ups than I ever thought I would. If you're new to them, and stick to it, you'll be surprised how quickly you progress!
                            • I've been having a hell of a time falling asleep lately. It's driving me insane.
                            • My non-primal parents are making me dinner for my birthday. I'm nervous, but they know what I eat, so I'm sure they'll give it their best shot.
                            • I'm pretty sure momma skunk has moved back under our deck with her babes. So far, so good...the babies are actually very cute, and she's never sprayed our doggie. Hopefully she'll move along when they're big enough to come out...at least that's what she did last year.
                            • I'm having some strange, rather unexplainable feelings about my weightloss, which leads me to...

                            Strange, Rather Unexplainable Feelings:
Since November 29th, 2010, I have gone from a size 12 to a size 6. I haven't weighed myself since Feb 1, but I'm guessing my total weight loss so far is around 18lbs. However, when I look in the mirror, I still see fat. In fact, I don't feel like I look very different at all! I've been working out (mainly lifting and walking...can't wait to run again once the trails are less squishy). I've obviously lost inches, but my eyes can't seem to see anything other than fat me. It's strange. Are my eyes playing tricks? Or do I still look exactly the same only...smaller? I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining, but it's a strange sensation to drop 3 sizes in 3 months and still feel like a 12. C'est la vie.

                            Anyhoo...
B: Ham & Egg & Cheese cups w/ the kids
                            L: Apple & Almond Butter
D: Fish, Acorn Squash, Green Beans, Cream Cheese Cabbage
                            S: 90% choc square.

It was a deliciously sweet (in a Primal kinda way) day...well, except for the poop-pick-up. That was just gross.

                            Happy weekend, everyone!

Jealous about the pull ups! I am finishing my menses and did my upper body LHT this morning, with no "oomph" left for pull ups. Def back in the saddle next week!

Changing shape is strange. We get so used to that old familiar self. I remember being mistaken for an aerobics instructor some years ago, about a year after I started seriously working out--I was flabbergasted. My self-image was still that of a skinny-fat girl, not some buff wench!

Nice to start seeing that buff wench emerging in the mirror. It's been awhile.
