  • that would be awesome! i'd gladly reward them with free hugs and produce. my kids occasionally help pull weeds, water, and turn the soil, but they're pretty unreliable.

    • *sigh* The problem with all this nice rain we've been having is that my garden is also totally taken over by weeds. I'm sure it has nothing to do with my neglect of it recently or anything

        I would totally volunteer...
150 degree nematode ridden sand is not place for a garden.
Plus... I don't have enough in me to put in and maintain a whole thing.
But I'd love to have some dirt between my toes and pull at some weeds/use a little long reach hand held hoe while sitting on a garden stool once or twice a week... commune with the birds and bugs a bit while being semi-productive.
I may occasionally steal a ripe cherry tomato as payment.

        • i'm not sure of the tomato plants that i've planted this year. some are the volunteers (hopefully cherry or grape) and the other 4 were random heirloom plants that i grabbed quickly before the store closed.

                Oh, yes! To be sure...
And then, once it's been emptied... it's a "lift heavy things" toy.

I won't know how to respond to that until I know what flavor it was.

                          • We buried our playful calico kitty today. She had been missing for a little over a day, and I found her late this morning by the side of the road.
