    Has it really been 5 days since I updated here. Well let me see I think I am going to try to be more consistent with writing down food. I am on a one week fast from weighing, 1/2 way through that now. Last I weighed myself at 199.6.

    Right now I am IFing haven't eaten in 17 hours, going to break fast with dinner I think, I will see how I feel, I may try to 24 hours, but only if I am doing alright if I can't hold out then dinner it is. No big plans today, had church this morning, this afternoon we are heading outside and cleaning up all the leaves in the yard with the kids. I seriously love this job, I also love shoveling snow and mowing the lawn and I am being dead serious, not joking. It is such good excercise. The cold is settling in now, I love/hate the winter especially lately I have been cold all the time. It is 48 F outside and in the house it is about 68 F I have socks, slippers, jeans a Tshirt and a hoodie and I am still cold, might crack out a hat. I have been learning through the great folks here at MDA that it probably has a lot to do with the IFing, so I am journaling it to look back and see if things change later on.

    Dinner plan is Kielbasa and cabbage from the PB cookbook. The family loved it last time. If I don't eat it tonight I know tomorrow what I will be having for breakfast or lunch whatever time I end up eating.

    Had a nice day yesterday with my aunt's made them Batty's butternut squash soup nad it was a hit. Took the boys to the dreaded Chuck E Cheeses for a friend's birthday party and they were all gushing over how I was melting away and how I was able to resist the pizza, well quite honestly Chuck E. Cheeses pizza is horrible, now if we were in little Italy ordering pizza I may feel differently. I still want to try that cauliflower pizza crust. It think it will be the bomb, gotta remember to get a head of cauliflower.

    Well that is it from this end, let me get out and get busy with those leaves. Can't wait to jump in them with the kids

    One other milestone, I hit the 2 months Primal this Friday!! Rock on!!

      Well I managed to fast yesterday until 5ish, dinnertime. So that was 21 hours and I did totally great. Maybe I will try it again on Wednesday, the day before the feast or maybe I should do it the day after LOL. Today I went about 14 hours and then had some bacon this morning because the kids wanted it and I couldn't resist it . Now I am slaving away at some more pumpkin soup, I can't keep this stuff in the house!

      What I broke fast with, Kielbasa and cabbage from the PB cookbook, I LOVE that together. I had a spinach salad too. Then had 85% 2 squares of it with almond butter and coconut shavings on it, holy moly that was good, I have yet to delve into primal goodie desserts so that was a nice little treat.

      That is all from here, will try to get a long walk in today before it gets too dark out, that depends on whether or not the husband gets home from the dentist sometime soon.

        Well, I found out why I have plateaud...... IM PREGNANT!! Yup just found out, have to call the ob/gyn in a few hours. I am still in shock. I can't believe how quickly my body regulated being on PB with the PCOS. Looks like I am having my first primal pregnancy

          Got my bloodwork done, have an appt. for Monday with the ob. So glad that the holiday and the busy weekend will keep my mind off of the appt being so far. Anyway, yesterday was a really rough day, didn't feel too well most of the day. Not sure if it was the lack of sleep or the pregnancy. This morning I got up weighed myself and am down to 197 ? What? I stepped on it 2x's. same number. How does that happen? My belly is so bloated but I will take it for what it is worth. This pregnancy is going to be an interesting one to say the least. This will probably be the 1st one where I don't gain a mad amount of weight. My healthiest pregnancy yet.

          So anyway today is Thanksgiving and going to make some butternut squash roasted and then mixed with fresh spinach and cranberries to bring to dinner at my uncles. I don't really plan on any cheats today, not really in the mood to eat, feel more like I want to puke.

          Yesterday I had 3 eggs over easy and some asparagus for lunch
          dinner was a huge plate of broccoli, tilapia and some roasted sweet potatoes with carmelized onions. Speaking of onions I could eat them carmelized or roasted all day long, I love them. They are my new fav, went on a kale kick, now I am gonna go on an onion kick.

          While I was up the other night and couldn't sleep, started watching the green network and Emeril was on it. He made some really good concotion of chicken breast with the bone sauteed in some apple cider, olive oil and then add cabbage, sausage and fresh apples to it, that looked fantastic. I gotta remember to try that out. He also made some pumpkin raviolis which looked delish and I thought, hmm what could I do with the pumpkin and ricotta and obviously without the pasta. Still pondering that one. I also love Ricotta and it has no sugar, and 2 carbs per 1/4 cup, I am going to have to find a way to incorporate some of it somewhere, besides in Eggplant.

          Well that is all from here, all my wandering thoughts.

                Whether or not you gain during pregnancy, I'm sure the weight will just melt off after your pregnancy.

                  Very true!!

                  Well today was an alright day, morning sickness in the morning again, after eating it seemed to pass for the better part of the day. Today I was very tired, took a nap at my mom's while she watched the boys. I ate some sausage stew at my moms, that I made and then some beef stew for breakfast and some frozen grapes in the car with chunk of ginger all to help the stomach feel better.

                    Today didn't eat much, didn't feel sick either, so that was a plus. For lunch I had some pumpkin soup and some eggs and green beans, dinner was roasted pork with sweet potatoes and roasted asparagus. Ended up having a late night snack almond butter, 85% dark chocolate and some shredded coconut.

                    I didn't workout today but I think I did enough moving slowly to qualify for that. I gotta get to walking a bit more, it is harder when the days are shorter and it is colder out.

                    I did a lot of work today, hung up all the outside Christmas lights pulled 13 bins out of the attic of Christmas decorations. Emptied them and decorated the house, put up the tree (undecorated, we will do that Sunday night with the kids). Cooked a beer pork roast, 5 loads of laundry folded and put away and vacuumed the house. I think I totally over did it. I am like wide away at 4am, I have slept 2 hours tonight. Been having a real hard time in general sleeping a full night's sleep. I don't know if it is nerves/excitement about the pregnancy or if it is just my body. I mean I am tired during the day too, so I tend to try to squeeze a small cat nap in, well today i wasn't tired. I remember having sleepless nights near the end of my pregnancies, but never at the beginning. Maybe it is all that blood flowing through my body now.

                    Well Sunday we are going to go to church in the morning and then head to visit a friend who just bought their first house. Then at night we are going to decorate the tree and watch some Christmas movies as a family. Monday is my first Ob/gyn visit. Very excited to see where I am at with the due date etc.

                    OK, off to watch the boob tube, maybe I will conk out for a bit too, let's hope so.

                      Very tired today now after being up all night, ugh! I hope it isn't like this the whole pregnancy.

                      Well I ended up having breakfast this morning because I didn't want to get sick at church. I had some roasted sweet potatoes, baby spinach and 2 hard boiled eggs. I also had lunch just now and I had some roasted cabbage with some leftover pork roast. Dinner is Tilapia with green beans, I might end up switching it to shrimp for me, I don't know yet. This is the first time I have had 3 meals in a long time. Of course dinner is "planned" but that doesn't mean I will actually eat. I am going to catch a quick nap now before we go visit our old neighbor's new house.

                        Oh gosh I never updated about the dr. appt. Well I had that Monday and all was well I go back in 2 weeks for them to see the heartbeat. The baby was still to early to see any heartbeat activity. He said my progesterone levels were great and there is no need to supplement progesterone with this pregnancy. Good News!!

                        I have been finally sleeping better, it must have been the anxiety of finding out I was pregnant that was keeping me up at night. I am back to sleeping like a rock. Having pains in my belly when I stand up too quickly from the chair or from a laying position which really hurts. I tried doing some squats today and I can't do them, too much pain so I stuck with some upper body strength training, push ups, pull ups and some weights. I really need to move a little more, it has been over a week since I have done anything real physical other than moving Christmas boxes up and down 3 flights of stairs 2x's. I have been quite tired too.

                        Trying to find a balance with the eating, don't have much of an appetite and then when I do nothing sounds good to eat. Today I had some pumpkin soup and a couple slices of pork roast and prunes. I also ate some kale that I cooked in butter, trying to up my consumption of fiber to help with the constipation.

                        I am determined to stay on track here with PB throughout this pregnancy.

                          Ugh so no matter what I eat or don't eat I am nauseous, but at least things are working in the right direction.
                          You know what is really bugging me out, I am down to 196 and my pants are too tight LOL!! I have lost 31lbs to date and my preggo belly is busting out at night. During the day it is just bloated a bit, but at night it is full on busting out of the pants I am wearing. So much for thinking I could make it to the 12th week before having to crack out the maternity wear. That is still 5 weeks away. Otherwise all is well.

                          Today I had some pumpkin pave that I got off of one of the MDA peeps blog, can I say yummo pumpkin. I had that for lunch, I had chili for breakfast and dinner was meat sauce over spaghetti squash. I have been having a lot of cheese as of late too, but trying not to stress too much about it, it really is the only calcium my body is getting besides generic vitamins. I don't get my prenatals for a little over a week from now. Still trying to find some balance with eating, it was so much easier before I got preggo LOL. I don't know half the time if I am hungry/sick orboth. Trying to eat little meals throughout the day and not letting my tummy empty, it seems to get worse when I do that.

                            Well it has been several days since I have updated. Really almost 2 weeks. I had my 2nd prenatal visit they bumped my due date up to 8/7/11 and I wasn't too happy since that means longer time in the first trimester which quite frankly is kicking my ass. I have fallen off the primal wagon, partially. Part of the problem is I am so sick and the other dilemma is eggs and meat make me gag. I am hoping that this is only temporary and that when I get out of the 12th or 13th week I can eat resuming normally. I don't think I am going to make it on pickles and chicken stock over the next few weeks, these are the only things I am craving lately. Well I did have some cravings for roasted onions. I haven't been keeping track of any carbs at all. I keep telling myself it is just a phase, just a few weeks and life will go back to how I once knew it.

                            It has been hard not beating myself up over this stuff. I so don't want to gain all the weight back that I lost, other than of course pregnancy weight. So that is where I am at these days. I am trying to keep up the blog, that has been hard since I haven't been feeling very creative in the cooking department, but I am hoping to squeak by with 2 entries a week if I can at least cook that many times in a week LOL.

                              OK today we are hitting the restart button. I am not sure if it is all morning sickness causing the stress on me or also a combination of the m/s with the bad choices of food. I am going to try to stay away from all the crackers and high carb stuff. I got some great ideas from others here on MDA on what to eat, just to change things up. I think I was getting stuck in a rut when it came to what to eat now that my taste has so drastically changed.

                              Right now sipping some ginger tea, it is good to have some fresh ginger back in stock. I had run out and failed to replenish which was a big deal, the ginger is really helping me the most. Last night I whipped up some of the pumpkin muffins from the PB cookbook and that is working on filling the whole need for something starchy to ease the belly. One of the great people had suggested delving into the baked goods end of primal for now just to get through this time instead of leaning on the old crappy gluten stuff. I also sliced up some sweet potato fries last night too, They helped a lot last night and tasted so yummy.

                              So today if I am in the mood to eat I am planning on some egg salad on top of a bed of spinach leaves and an apple for lunch and dinner will be beef stew with the sweet potato fries. This morning I ate 2 of the pumpkin muffins and 2 garlic dill pickles...gross I know but it did taste so good, I don't think the pickles are ever safe around this house they get devoured so quickly. One thing I have been really jonesing for is a good italain sub with all the salt and vinegar, but trying to find a way to do it without the bread. I will have to think more on that one.

                                Hope you feel better soon. Sounds like your food is spot out and sounds delicious! I LOVE garlic dill pickles!!
