  • Primal Blueprint Challenge: Patriq's 30-days Journal

    Here I'll keep track on my progress during the 30-day challenge, and how will I do that?
    I'll post a chart each day, including the challenges tied to each of the 10 primal laws. In front of each challenge there's a checkbox where I'll write down the number of how many times I've completed the challenge during the day.
    For challenge 2 and 9 there will be negative scores for each time I eat something unhealthy, or make a stupid mistake.

    Let the primal living begin!

    Challenge 1: Eat Lots of Plants and Animals
    [2] Healthy clean meals cooked at home

    On the first day of the 30-day challenge I've had a breakfast of eggs, bacon, yoghurt + müsli made of nuts, seeds and dried berries, a cup of tea and some cheese.
    For dinner my girl and I made salmon fried in egg and sesame seeds, served with spinach, aspargus and a mix of feta cheese, garlic and basilica. Tasted really nice!

    Challenge 2: Avoid Poisonous Things
    [ ] Garbage food eaten


    Challenge 3: Move Frequently at a Slow Pace
    [1] Slow moving

    Before todays meeting at work I spent about 1 hour in the forrest with my girlfriend, picking mushrooms.

    Challenge 4: Lift Heavy Things
    [1] Heavy weight workout

    I got up early for an hour of crossfit at Crossfit Uppsala. Todays sessoin was mainly about kettlebell swings and lunges with kettlebell in hand.

    Challenge 5: Sprint Once in a While
    [ ] Fast moving


    Challenge 6: Get Adequate Sleep
    [ ] Get 8 hours of sleep


    Challenge 7: Play
    [ ] Get playful


    Challenge 8: Get Adequate Sunlight
    [1] Get a sunlight boost

    The sun shone upon our heads while we were searching for mushrooms.

    Challenge 9: Avoid Stupid Mistakes
    [ ] Stupid mistakes made


    Challenge 10: Use Your Brain
    [ ] Mental challenges



    This is what my daily logs will look like during this 30-day challenge. Hopefully I'll get a nice overview afterward of how dedicated I've been.

      Now it may seem as I haven't eaten much today, but I have, only it wasn't cooked at home. For lunch I had thai food at a local restaurant. No rice of course.
      For dinner, the salmon we made yesterday, though today with broccoli.

      Challenge 2: Avoid Poisonous Things

      Challenge 4: Lift Heavy Things
      [1] Heavy weight workout

      At todays criossfit session I thought I should die. We did 10/10 Kettlebell Push Press on each arm, 15 Burpees, and 25 Jumping Pullups, for 7 rounds.

      [1] Get 8 hours of sleep

      Slept like a baby.

      Challenge 7: Play
      [1] Get playful

      Spent 2,5 hours freediving in a pool. Worked like a charm today and I'm getting more and more relaxed without air

      [1] Get a sunlight boost

      I spent the afternoon sitting on a park bench down by the stream, reading.

          EAT LOTS OF PLANTS AND ANIMALS
          ♦ Eat healthy clean meals, cooked at home

          I broke my fast with eggs, tea, some cheese, and yoghurt with my own homemade nuts & seed müsli.
          For dinner I had minced meat sause and broccoli that I made a couple of days ago.

          AVOID POISONOUS THINGS
          ♦ Don't eat anything unhealthy


          MOVE FREQUENTLY AT A SLOW PACE
          ♦ Light exercise

          Brought my girlfriend and my sisters dog and went for some geocaching just outside town. Spent a couple of hours walking about 5 kilometers in the forrest and across the fields. Geocaching is a really fun activity if you want to come out in the nature more!

          LIFT HEAVY THINGS
          ♦ Heavy weight workout


          SPRINT ONCE IN A WHILE
          ♦ High intensity workout


          GET ADEQUATE SLEEP
          ♦ Get 8 hours of sleep

          I got my eight hours of sleep, but I've felt pretty tired all dat still. Obviously because of waking up several times tonight, and because of the large amount of exercise yesterday.

          PLAY
          ♦ Playful activities


          GET ADEQUATE SUNLIGHT
          ♦ Get some sunshower

          The sun was shining upon us on our geocachin hike today. Must get as much of it as I can now, since this is the very last day of my vaccation. Tomorrow it's back to work.

          ♦ Don't hurt myself


          USE YOUR BRAIN
          ♦ Mental challenges



          Just4ME: Yes, reading outdoors somewhere quiet is really peaceful. That's how I prefer it, or if it's winter and snow I like to get a hot cup of coffey at a café somewhere.

            I had a breakfast of cooked eggs, bacon, some cheese and yoghurt with nut-müsli.

            2. AVOID POISONOUS THINGS
            ♦ Don't eat anything unhealthy

            Unfortunately I had a setback today and ate a subway sandwich, and also some chocolate.
            The reason, though not a valid one, was that my girlfriend was very upset after being robbed at work, and we decided to just buy something to eat and not think about cooking.

              The usual breakfast of eggs, bacon, tea etc. Very tasty! and it makes me feel satisfied for several hours.
