    • Thanks guys!

They definitely were yummy! Can't wait to see what I throw together for tomorrow!

Been out most of the day running around and such...... I have also spent some time reflecting on my Primal journey by re-reading my journal here from the beginning...... When I got to page 3, I had to take a step back seeing my before pic and day 12 pic..... still to this day it floors me!

              • Glad to see you're back.

I love Tom Ka. I've never tried making it myself.

                • Thanks SuperD!

For tonight's dinner, I went ahead and made some chicken breasts in butter and homemade primal pesto and a half of a small sweet potato drenched in butter and a touch of salt. Then going to go on a full moon walk with my wifey and husky (Titan)..... followed by a banana & blueberry smoothie for dessert A perfect end to a perfect day!

                  • Outstanding morning thus far.... gorgeous weather outside so I will be going on a walk a bit later with my pooch "Titan" (my 1/2 Siberian Husky & 1/2 Wolf). While he and are are out and about, we are going to snack on whatever we find on our path (fruit, veggies, herbs, etc)..... it will be fun!

I think today I am going to concentrate on having more veggies than meat...... Maybe grok didn't bag a Micro-Raptor (read that as chicken) or the elusive Corpulentus Herbivorus (read that as cow).... glad I have body fat stored up that can be used LOL

                        • Thanks!

It is fun to come up with Primal names for common foods (animals, vegetables, herbs, etc...) I came up with those names over a year, year and a half a go. It actually turned into a running joke and play here in the house...... my wifey would yell out to me, "Hey Grok..... you need to go hunting..... would you go spear us a Micro-Raptor or Oinkasaurus Rex?" LOLOL

I want to make a spear and as I walk in the door have the Micro-Raptor or Oinkasauraus Rex stuck on it LOL

                          • Just had a really good, simple soup for lunch........ I took one bag of mix stir fry veggies, 1 cup of my seasoned homemade chicken stock (just enough to cover the veggies).... I put it on medium high heat and after about 4-5 minutes, I put the veggies and broth into our Magic Bullet blender with a tablespoon of homemade butter and a heaping tablespoon of grated Parmesan Cheese......... blended and served in a mug. VERY good!

                            • I really wanted something to drink and not just stick to water..... so I made up some herbal tea by taking some dried Cherries (about a 1/2 cup) and dried Hybiscus flowers (about 1 - 1 1/2 cups)..... threw it in a pot filled with purified water. Brought it to a boil and took it off the heat and let it sit. It made a concentrate and I just poured some into my mug with some dried stevia plant and added some more hot water and it was da bomb. Makes for a very nice treat!

                              • Good morning my fellow Groks and Grokettes!

Another gorgeous day here in Northern California!! Such a beautiful morning that I am going to go get a walk in before really getting my day started. As I woke up this morning, I had another "I feel lighter" mornings so I think I may venture a peak at my scale after my walk.

Looking at what I am going to eat also for lunch and I am thinking about cooking up some of my deer meat..... maybe with a tad of butter and garlic perhaps.
