    Monday 8/3/09


    B: 3 scrambled eggs

    3 slices bacon

    1 apple


    S: Trail mix


    L: Chicken nuggets

    Leftover chopped salad

    Cashews


    S: Cottage cheese with pineapple


    D: Shrimp skewers with red pepper and pineapple

    Steamed broccoli


    S: 1 slice cheese

    1 pear

    1 cup milk


    Exercise: 1 mile jog

    Weights

    45 minute walk with stroller

    Tuesday 8/4/09


    B: 3 scrambled eggs with cheese and ham

    1 apple


    S: Cashews and dried cherries

    1 grapefruit


    L: 1 can tuna with salsa

    Coconut breaded zucchini fried in bacon grease

    Yellow plum tomatoes from garden


    S: 1 slice cheese, 1 pear, almonds


    D: Large chopped salad with lettuce, tomato, peppers, radishes, chicken, bacon, hard boiled egg, and black olives with homemade basil vinaigrette dressing


    S: Peaches and cream


    Exercise:


    55 minute stroller walk

      Overall Goals


      My overall goals for the challenge this month are to maintain a healthy pregnancy while ensuring proper nutrition for the fetus, my 10 month old son who I am breastfeeding, and myself. I would like to reduce cravings for sugar and carbs and stay active.

        L: 1 1/2 hot dogs

        1/2 acorn squash

        Mozzarella cheese


        S: 1 grapefruit


        D: Teriyaki chicken with pineapple and swiss cheese

        Sauteed zucchini and carrots

        Chopped salad

        Chipotle lime carne asada

        White wine


        S: Peaches with homemade whipped cream


        Exercise:


        20 minute cycle

          L: Vegetable and california rolls (lunch out with friends)


          S: Dried cherries and almonds

          D: Pork spare ribs

          Sauteed chard with bacon and onion


          S: Orange with homemade whipped cream


          Exercise:

              L: Salad, cheese, fruit, steamed veggies, chicken marsala, salmon (wedding)


              S: 1 glass red wine

              Cupcake and rum cake


              D: French onion soup

                Sunday 8/9/09


                B: 3 scrambled eggs

                2 strips bacon

                1 apple


                L: Nachos with grass fed beef, cheese, tomatoes, onion, red pepper, guacamole, salsa, jalapenos, and sour cream (had a craving)


                S: 1 mango

                Almonds


                D: 1 grass fed beef burger with cheese

                Creamed kohlrabi

                Cucumbers with sour cream, vinegar, and dill


                Exercise:

                    Thanks for the links maba. I am familiar with the Weston Price philosophy and found some of the information interesting. I have a 10 month old son who eats a mostly primal diet, and I hope to continue that as he gets older as well as with the new baby.

                          When you say stroller walk do you mean you are walking with your empty stroller, prepping for the baby? Neat idea.

                          Eating lots but still hungry? Eat more fat. Mid-day sluggishness? Eat more fat. Feeling depressed or irritable? Eat more fat. People think you've developed an eating disorder? Eat more fat... in front of them.

                            Hi FlyNavyWife,

                            I actually heard about the frozen coconut milk with peaches on this site. It is quite tasty! I have a 10 month old son, as well as one on the way, so I walk with him in the stroller.

                              Ah, that makes sense. I wasn't sure if you already had a baby or not. I have heard of people walking with a stroller with no baby in it though, especially if they have a dog they want to get used to the situation before the baby is born.
