    Hi guys:


    Well here goes for my goals:


    1.1/2 hour of meditation

    2. no more cookies, recently have started eating Lil debs fudge cookies with 50 grams of sugar in them per cookie.

    3.exercise then walking

    4.no more beer

    5. My batteries are charging so I will let everyone know on that a little later.

    I was wondering this morning how I came across this new lifestyle of mine and as I came across Mark's Daily Apple I found my answer. The link up above if from the Rivendell Reader which is a great site for handmade bikes.


    I thought I would get in shape because of my bike which in a round about way I did but it is because the above noted article led me to this web site which after some further digging sent me to Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes.


    Guys I believe in this lifestyle, from Jan of 2008, I have lost 35 pounds. I need to start working this lifestyle more because it does pay off.

          I came in at 213. I cant believe I lost 3 pounds since Friday?

            Hey! Thanks for stopping by my thread! Just thought I'd return the kindness. Great job on losing the weight since January! Where in the Chicago area are you? We lived in Dundee, and my husband still works in Lisle, but now we're out by DeKalb.

              Your weight seems to be dropping fast huh? Fantastic.

              As you know, I just started on this lifestyle, and my weight also dropped a lot this first week (2,9 pounds).

              I so hope it continues that way! And yes - stays off!!

                  My weight sometimes flucuates. Day to day fluctuations aren't bad, so long a the general trend is downward.

                  Start weight: 250 - 06/2009
                  Current weight: 199
                  Goal: 145

                    Not feeling hungry at all,

                    two peaches and two cups of coffee. so far.


                    I will make myself either a pork chop on bed of spinach with salsa or a hearty omlette.

                      Happy with my day.


                      Off to sleep at 10 pm tonight promise.


                      Two peaches

                      two cups of coffee with cream

                      made my own salsa, loved it

                      cooked and sliced one floret of cauliflower with cup of spinach my salsa and 2 oz. of sausage.


                      I did about 20 minutes of exercise and 20 minutes of meditating.


                      I would like to hit 210 by Sept 1, can I?

                        212 pounds this morning.


                        I found my stolen bike. In a city of 6 million people, I found the one guy that understood my bike. Thank you


                        I cant believe I picked two paring ticket for blowing a stop sign. Life goes on.

                            You are right, I hate tickets but I have to let that go.


                            Did not end my diet the way I wanted but since I had pizza yesterday and leftover pizza today but today it was the only carbs i had. Hope the damage was not overbearing.


                            I have cut down on beers and the cookies. I was eating two cookies a day, have not had any for a week.


                            I did exercise Sturday and Sunday. I hit the bike for an hour each day. I am not going to look for exercise to help lose weight but more because I really enjoy cycling.

                              Hi guys:


                              I am going to restate my goals again for the month of September:


                              1.1/2 hour of meditation

                              2. no more lil Deb cookies-fudge, zero cookies for the month.

                              3.do kettleballs three times a week

                              4.no more beer

                              5. 213 today go down to 209.

                              6.cycle for an hour 5 times a week
