  • Primal Challenge Journal (Grandma)

My goals are mostly in the area of exercise.

    1. Swing, lift, carry -- most likely to continue my landscaping project, still have lots of dirt to dig/move.

    2. Sprint - ultimate Frisbee, road tennis with the kids.

    3. Create a routine.

It's grandma, but you can call me sir.

lots of new journals around here today. Gonna be hard to keep track of it all for awhile.

I know that you are no foreigner to a little exercise --- me not so much. So, I'm gonna need a little support to make this a habit.

Grandma, gonna try a sledgehammer? I think that would be an awesome "toy" to have. Of course moving dirt is awesome too.

Eating lots but still hungry? Eat more fat. Mid-day sluggishness? Eat more fat. Feeling depressed or irritable? Eat more fat. People think you've developed an eating disorder? Eat more fat... in front of them.

I have a sledgehammer I'll have to try it. I also have this thing called a mattock -- it's a like a pick axe with a wide blade. It is pretty good at moving compacted soil. I't also good for loosening frustrations

            Food:

            B: IF

L: BAS with sardines and almond butter dressing

S: handful of fruit and nut mix. Spoon of almond butter

D: Steak, Zucchini, salad with more almond butter dressing. Fresh basil from the garden in the salad was a big hit.

            WOD:

no time, I had to coach my girl's hockey game. Bad start on day 1.

              Day 2:

B: ham and cheese omelet -- ham? why am I eating that?

L: BAS with steak from last night

S: couple teaspoons of almond butter

D: ginger beef/bok choy stir fry. (not the best meal I ever whipped up)

              WOD:

              40 min of walking

              Volley ball with the kids

A few pushups (punishment for putting the ball over the fence)

Thanks. I had to make a game of it to trick myself into doing some bodyweight stuff. The rule of the game was if the ball goes over the fence or in the bushes -- 5 pushups.

                    B: cheese omelet Coffee

                    S: more Coffee

L: Skip, was too busy playing golf. Diet Coke, we played golf for cokes, so I couldn't NOT collect my winnings.

S: couple spoons of almond butter.

D: BIG taco salad and Ice tea. I was very hungry way too little food during the day

                    WOD:

                    9 holes of par 3

                    family walk around the block.

                          pepper steak is good.

I have not been eating enough lately, by 5:00 I'm ready to eat my laptop. Walking at lunch has turned up the heat, and I have cut back on the stash of snacks in the desk drawer. Today I didn't bring a protein from home for my BAS because I ate everything at dinner the night before and there were no sardines in the my desk drawer.

It's been very boring! I need to get out of a rut. Tara Tootie, got any good nato recipes for me?

Kinda funny... one of your goals was "create a routine" and now you are in a rut... sounds like a routine. Maybe you're not meant to thrive on habit.
