We had a power outage early this morning. High winds outside, it has never been so windy since I moved down to Reno. Smoke is everywhere outside. I went out to the corner of the main street where I live and they have the cops out there blocking traffic. I feel sorry for them having to be outside with all the smoke. It's not so bad indoors, but it still reeks of smoke. These fires manage to break out in the worst of conditions.
I guess they got the fire out. With the rain and snow last night the smoke seems to have cleared. It's at times like these that I wish our fire protection were operated through private business and not a public service. I'm sure the quality would be better and the cost lower. People seem to think we need government for fire protection which is to our detriment.
Fair warning: that miso dressing is like crack. Next thing you know, you'll be taking nips straight out of the bottle in the middle of the night.
Hmm, I thought I posted a picture of my favorite dressing on this thread which is a spinach dressing from The Alder Market, but maybe not. They don't have this at Whole Foods, I should request it. Ingredients is red wine vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, garlic, spices and xanthan gum.
