  • Sore today, sprint tri tomorrow...what do i do

i'm competing in a sprint triathlon tomorrow morning, and my legs are a little sore from pushing a little too hard earlier this week. so, i'm wondering if there is something i should be doing or eating that might help prepare a little bit more, like icing, eating some sweet potatoes, or just plain old rest.

i'm not concerned about finishing the race--i know i can do that--but now i'm thinking it might be fun to see just how well i can do.

    any suggestions?

Magnesium gel and/or tiger balm, an early night, and a sweet potato!

First, get plenty of rest the night before. Second, try icing, this should help pull out some to the lactic acid and get rid of some of the soreness. Lastly, you should definitely stretch, this always helps me when I am sore. Good Luck!
