Lift, stretch, run...and repeat

    Warm up: 5min jog.
    Squats:
    warm up 1 set of 10 reps @ 15kg
    1 set of 5 reps @ 45kg
    2 sets of 5 reps @ 40kg (I didnt think my technique was good enough at 45 so dropped 5 off)

    Deadlifts:
    warm up 1 set of 10 reps @ 15kg
    3 sets of 45kg... should I lift more and just do one set? I'm feeling OK/not sure today...

    Chin-ups (assisted)
    1 set of 10 @ 36kg
    3 sets of 10 @ 32kg

    Press-ups: 3*10

    Later that day: 1.5hrs of hot yin yoga. Such a good stretch!

      You should definitely feel a bit fainty/swoony at the end of a heavy set of deadlifts. Everybody in my gym (all 3 of us) takes a knee after our work sets, just in case we faint. It's not common, but it has happened, and there are several funny and gruesome videos on the YouTubes to prove it..

      Thanks- good to know re swooning! I'll make sure there is a knoight in shining armour there to catch me (fat chance with the gymbros in my gym).

        1 set of 10 @ 36kg
        3 sets of 10 @ 32kg

        Press-ups: 3*10

        Squats:

        Should I lift more and just do one set of deadlifts? I'm feeling like Im working hard during the lifting but obviously can do 3 sets, so it makes me wonder. Thoughts?

          Eventually, they'll get so heavy that you will find it hard to recover from more than 1 set. In the meantime, it's probably not hurting to get the extra form practice. When the weight gets heavy enough that you really struggle to complete a set, I'd skip the additional sets.

              Deadlifts:
              warm up 1 set of 10 reps @ 15kg
              3 sets of 47.5kg (yay went up a weight!)

              Squats:
              warm up 1 set of 10 reps @ 15kg
              3 set of 5 reps @ 42.5kg

              Press-ups: 3*10

              Leg ext, 2 sets of 10, cant recall the weight
              Ham curls, 2 sets of 10, cant recall the weight
              *not that into those... but a gym bro wanted to show me them as a 'followup' to my squats and I didnt want to be rude!

              Chin-ups (assisted)
              1 set of 10 @ 36kg
              3 sets of 10 @ 32kg

              Highpoint: making it to the gym on a Friday night
              Lowpoint: realising I have no plans for a Friday night

                            1*5 at 35kg ...too high, couldnt get to 15
                            2*15 at 25kg
                            - actually pretty happy how that turned out!

                            Deadlifts
