  • Cool Tricep's Exercise !

I've always struggled more in building my triceps than I have my biceps, my biceps tend to grow like weeds and respond to any exercise I do.

The exercise that has put by far the most beef on my tri's is the good old dip with plenty of weight attached to my waist. There is just something cool about a big gnarly horseshoe shaped mass on the back of your arms.
As demonstrated here by the late great Mike Mentzer !

However what I wanted to mention today was an exercise I have just started doing, it feels great and provides me with a deep soreness the next day that I always see as an indicator of a job well done.

The exercise is lying extensions using a Kettle bell and a towel. I feel the use of a towel also gives the added benefit of some extra grip work. I like to get a real nice deep stretch at the bottom and slowly raise the weight up to an angle of about 45 degrees, not only does this keep tension on the triceps it also prevents the kettle bell from putting a dent in the top of your bonce !
Once I hit failure I like to finish off with some partial reps in the bottom position.

I'm afraid I don't. It is the same as this but lying on a bench.

that would be almost worth buying a kettlebell for! we do skull crushers on a bench with dumbbells and superset them with a press whose name i cant remember. i will try to remember to bring one of my smaller towels to the gym next time i go and try this with one of their kettle bells. what weight do you use?
