        I have the Foundation DVD. It has help my back a lot. Deadlifts too!

            Joints were meant to be flexed. Stability is through a balance of muscle strength and flexibility. If joints are not flexed, they become stiff and the muscles weak. Imagine if your elbow were in a cast for months. Afterwards your arm would have neither strength nor the flexibility you had previously. They would probably send you to a physiotherapist to get that back.

            The back is a series of joints. Most of us haven't flexed them since we were little kids, and for the most part we avoid flexing them at all costs. And why would we? To do so would break up the stiffness, causing inflammation without any real damage to the system. The least little accidental jar can set off a series of such painful episodes.
