  • 30 minute dog walk, 30 minutes high intensity intervals (stairs) 20 minutes jogging, an hour of yoga.

    • What is horizontal conditioning?

      Today:
      ~2 hrs exploring woods, climbing ladders, walking

      ~45mins campus fun:
      running
      sprinting up stairwells
      leaping on benches
      10x4 shrimp squats ... Thanks, Al ;-)
      10x2 jump squats
      5x5 elevated plyo push-ups

      I was like a BAT OUTTA HELL! WILD! Can't wait for pork ribs tomorrow, yum!

        Pretty much being in a horizontal position (plank) and using only your body weight for an hour. Nothing has ever kicked my butt like this has.

        • about 35 mins of 'circuit' training

          gym set up with 4 corners of exercise: 10 jumping jacks, 15 push-ups, 20 squat jumps (everyone else did 8-count body builders- I can't), 25 crunches
          The first 20 minutes we jogged to each station, the last 15 minutes we ran an entire lap and then stopped at the next station.

          This after noon I did 2 minutes on the Profitter and 3 sets of 12 rows on the Power Tower, and 4 sets of pull-ups (24 degrees I did 4, set the machine to 19 degrees and then did 7 and 7- struggled with second set)

              Morning coffee + morning workout:
              12-17-13-13-15 Push Ups
              5x5 Close Grip Push Ups
              3x6 Weighted Push Ups
              60secx3 Weighted Planks
              30secx3 Side Planks with Leg Raise
              30secx3 Wall Handstands

              Rest 60sec between all sets. Really focused on strength today by sloooowing down my movements and stopping briefly at the bottom position. I want to throw around the bar at dad's today... We will see. Otherwise I want to step up my bodyweight stuff... I want to be a bar-barian! ;-)

                • Went to game ( English soccer ) Manchester City 1 Chelsea 0 , awesome ,ran from stadium ,drove to Pub, drank plenty of dark beer.

                  This is part of my 20%,back to basics tomorrow.Will run it off.Happy day.

                    • well many think this isnt a workout but im off to bikram yoga ... not sure whether it counts as move slowly but it is 90 minutes of sheer torture...

                          • Today was legs ... agonising painful legs ...

                            Deep Squats (5 sets ranging 10 - 4 reps)
                            Hack Squats (3 sets ranging 10 - 6)
                            Hamstring Curl (4 sets ranging 12 - 6)
                            Standing Calf Raises (4 sets ranging 15 - 8)
                            Dumbbell Walking Lunges (2 lengths)

                            Getting down the stairs afterward was ... challenging.

                              • Todays workout was wood chopping, first chainsawing, then chopping. My back feels it now.
                                Sometimes you need to be told the truth in order to be able to see it.
