  • Pretty pumped,

    my local sports club is getting a few tractor tyres dropped off today.

    trying to think of all the things i can do with them.

    any ideas apart from flips and sledgehammers?
    2010 - 5,11 and 101KG

    2012 - 5,11 and 77KG

    Train hard, eat well and love life

      • Deadlift 3 warmups sets then 285x3.5 (fucker) drop set (i.e. no rest) 225x10
        OHP 3x6 @ 115

        OHP is still lite. Probably won't hit any problems till I'm above 135/145 as I still had reps in the tank today on the first 2 sets.
        Deadlift may have been inhibited by yesterdays impromptu workout at the park. Several muscle ups, some pistols, and a five mile hike.

            • ATG squats:
              135lbs 1x10, 225lbs 1x4, 270lbs 1x3, 292.5lbs 1x3 and (personal best) 315 lbs, 2x1.

              When I started starting strength program 5 weeks ago, I set 315 1x3 as the year end goal.
              Looks like I need to aim higher!

                Weighted Chins x 70lbs x 3 TUL 40 sec..... Drop set to BWx4 TUL 45 sec
                Weighted Dips x 75lbs x 4 TUL 47 sec..... Drop set to BWx4 TUL 30 sec
                Leg Press x 350(whatever the real weight is....its a machine) x 6.5 TUL 85 sec
                Pushups x 76 sec TUL
                Lateral Raises 2x10

                I may have to try these weights next week with a fast cadence to get an idea of what rep range I'm able to hit. Either way feeling good and continuing to progress.

                    • Some brain work today. 2 hours of algebra in the morning. Did some problems on sub-groups, normal sub groups.
                      And savoured a rather elegant proof of Fermat's theorem (a^p = a mod(p); p a prime and a any integer).
