  • Last night, scored a big PR with handstand push-ups. I haven't attempted any since about 40lbs ago, but I managed 5x5 of them among other exercises.

    AMRAP for 25 mins.


    Handstand push-ups x 5
    Kettlebell rows x 10 each arm. (80lb bell)
    Push-ups x 15
    Kettlebell snatch 5 each arm (60lb)
    Leg raises x 10
    Farmers carry x 100m (2x60lb bells)

    Fighter circuit 6x2mins
    Run&gun drill

      • I'm going old school body building for a few months.

        Monday and Thursdays - Chest and Back
        Tuesdays and Fridays - Shoulders and Arms
        Wednesday and Saturdays - Legs

        Today was Chest and Back

        BB Bench Press (5 sets -12X1,10 X1, 8X1, 3X2) supersetted with Pullups (5 Sets X 10)
        Incline BB (3X10) supersetted with Seated Pully Row (3X10)
        Supine DB Laterals (3X12) supersetted with One Arm DB Row (3X10)

        • Did 30 regular pushups, then 20 each as declines from two different heights, all PR. Stretched (forward stretch), then went for a 5 mile walk with hills.

          • Rest day today...as much as I want to do otherwise. After 5 days in a row my body needs a break! This isn't my normal approach, but for the month of April it will be...

            • Curls and straight-legged deadlifts on a platform. Stretching my seat. Such a nice day, may go out for a slog.

              • Planning on a 20-25 mile bike ride this afternoon, first time in quite some time the weather/temps have permitted it. There will also be 30 mph windgusts so that might shorten my ride. My riding location is pretty protected from the wind, so it should be fine. No open corn-field riding today with nothing to slow down the wind...as a small woman with a very light bike it is easy for me to be blown over into the next lane if a strong cross-wind hits me wrong...

                • Did bench press, overhead press, and squats. Went out for a 1 mile run, came back exhausted and freezing from the biting wind. After my tea I will stretch.

                      • My training group focused on conditioning this morning. We finished up with the following reversed pyramid:

                        15 KB swings
                        5 burpee box jumps
                        10 KB swings
                        10 burpee box jumps
                        5 KB swings
                        15 burpee box jumps

                        Went for a slow walk with a friend a couple of hours later in the woods.

                        • Ran 1 mile to the high school track, then did 10X100 Meter sprints with a 50 meter walk, 50 meter jog recovery between sets then ran the 1 mile home.

                          • This morning we did several series of trx exercises and also some resistance band work before the strength portion.

                            RDL shrugs
                            Reverse Lunge OH press
                            Kneeling DB OH presses

                            Chin ups
                            KB Thrusters

                            Finally we did a tabata set on the Aerodyne bikes using arms only
