  • can't tell if good pain or bad pain!

    Hello

I was doing squat and than i have pain in my lower back
i did it with good form and light weight

after 4 days the pain is gone and when i went to the gym yesterday i did deadlifts 15
with correct form and i feel a little pain in my lift knee while i doing the exercise but it gone fast after gym
next day which is today i feel a pain in my lower back

i don't know if it is bad pain or good pain?
should i avoid squat & deadlifts or not?

It's most likely not good form. Personally it took me 6 months to learn good form. Making mistakes, deloading, over and over again. I'm not saying it has to take that long. But it is not very easily and obvious to squat and deadlift with proper form. Watch the SS dvd, really, do it. It has helped me more than any youtube video.
    well then

Could be a lit of different things. Without a video its hard to say if it is your form or not. If it isn't a poor technique issue then you are probably tight in some areas and need to do some soft tissue and mobility work. Get a foam roller, lacrosse ball, and a softball and go to work.

Why not? They are the two best lifts. Get someone to show you how to perform them correctly and you will love them.

Pain (in any form) after squats or dead lift is bad pain. No pain no gain means No brain IMO.

Proceed directly to a chiropractor to determine if it's muscular or disc. I made a similar mistake and have been debilitated for four years. Just regaining my health now.

Definitely don't write them off, as they are probably the two single best exercises for adding mass.
