  • Shoulder blade clicking?

    Hi,

    Whenever I lift my right arm up and rotate my shoulder/shoulder blade in a circular motion, I hear this irritating clicking noise near my shoulder blade. This has been occurring more lately as when I stretch my arm out to reach for something, I hear the click.
    I don't go to the gym or do any heavy lifting much, but am planning to soon.

    I'm scared if I just ignore this it might lead to a dislocation.

    Has anyone ever experienced/have any advice for this?

    Thanks =)

      Yup. Get a massage. Worked for me.

        My knees used to "clack" when I walked. Physical therapy proved that it was because the ligaments were weak and had trouble holding the knee cap in place, so it would pull and snap against the bone. When I got active as an adult, started running and what not, it went away (because all my muscles got stronger). I haven't been as active with pregnancy, and I've had a flare up of clacking in my hips, especially when I stretch at night.
        Get active, get strong... but see a doctor first to make sure it isn't something more serious!

          It is most likely clicking due to tight muscles and connective tissue through the shoulder girdle - a bit of stretching and exercise should sort that out.

            Yeah, I think that's what it is. How would you recommend I 'massage' or keep it 'loose'?

            Thanks for your reply guys!
