    Alright here is the challenge.... the plank !!!!!!
    Post your time each week and lets just see how we do after one month....two months......christmas ?????
    I suppose that this is a personal challenge.... but it is also a challenge against others if you would like it to be. but....BUT to all you testosterone welding MEN out there, some of you are going to be better than us girls, some of you are not !!!!!!!!
    RULES
    * hopefully someone can post the traditional plank picture. I haven't got a clue how to do this !!!! most of you will know the elbows, toes routine anyways
    * honesty is a virtue - we will know if you are cheating !!!!
    * no rounding up to the nearest minute !!!!!
    * Gwammas are allowed to partake
    * any other rules need to be approved by me, and only if they help me get better !!!!!!

      Omg 1 minute, I am suitably impressed. I managed 39 seconds before I collapsed into a sweaty heap.

          Good idea, my core strength needs some maintenance.

              Can someone post rules of the plank (i.e.: proper form)? Planking via standing on tip toes and resting on elbows or toes and hands?

                I believe the correct form is toes and elbows, well thats what I do !!!

                            yea but - I am not as strong as you - obviously, so I am gonna have to work twice as hard to get to your level !!!! and that doesn't mean that I will win - but shit I am gonna have one hell of a crack at it !!!!!!

                              then you will need to be crafty lol my advice is to get someone to talk to you while you do it about something interesting. i seriously used to struggle doing 1 min planks when i was studying personal training. i freakn hate them so i dont practise. i sent my personal trainer the plank variations for fun one day and he made me do some. so there i am planking and waving my arms and legs around like simon says on drugs. several minutes later i realise i am still planking lol so the moral is, the brain is the weakest muscle. distract yourself instead of clock watching. also if it starts hurting stop. regardless of how short a time you have done it.
