12 seconds. Both of my thighs began to cramp simultaneously. Yes, I can hold an L-sit for 30 seconds at least, do up to 20 chin-ups, 45 push-ups and sometimes one-armed chin-ups, 10 to 15 clapping plyometric chin-ups, plyometric dips, and more - but if it takes legs - count me out.

And now that I did that, I might randomly start cramping again any time in the next few hours. I've taken my magnesium, but you never know.

The best part? There's no cure. I'm basically fitness-impaired for life. I lay down muscle like a champ but can't use my legs for much more than walking without tragedy. Its hilarious. I'm so proud of how healthy I am, the way I eat, etc., but have no chance of joining a gym, sport, or even running around outside for more than a few minutes. I can play on monkey bars for an hour or more. But even one weighted squat? Better have a spotter with a baseball bat ready to beat my legs when they turn to iron.
Knifegill, your achievements are awesome, but can't be easy with the leg cramps. Obviously you have investigated this to the max..... are the legs better since going primal ???

Thanx Seaweed, I actually found the side plank easier, but it was a first, so we shall see how long that attitude lasts !!!!!

Incredible. I added another 15 seconds today, so I am up to 2 minutes. Can only dream of making 4 minutes.

            I'm 21, 1.65cm and 55kg. Planking is really not a big deal.

It would be nice to have a summary of all in this challenge.

Antepop, you are so right - it would be nice to have a summary, however us Gwammas are good for some thngs, but summarising stuff on a computer - I am not !!!!!
however I can do dinner parties, for 205, on my own, drive through 2 feet of snow on a push bike, birth a ewe, after internally turning the lamb, tramp in the bush for 5 days on minimal food without a shower, put up with 10 screaming babies, without having a meltdown, and iron a shirt bloody well !!!!!

I made 2.15 today. I have managed to increase by 15 seconds each day for the last three days. Not sure how long I can keep that up for.

Neely, I would have thought that you should not have a sore back - so yes maybe you are doing it wrong. google it and check out your form that way

Gonna try a plank in the morning for kicks and giggles (and to make y'all nervous). Let's see what the pregnant mama can do!

I just started planks a few months ago after having been doing sit-ups with weights for years. I was amazed at how the planks work you. The most I've done was 4:30 for forearms planks and 2:30 for side planks. Most days I do a 3 minute and 1:30 on each side. Great exercise!

I've got the hang of the planks now - great exercise I can really feel it for hours after when I've done a few. I think I'm only up to around 2. 14. I'm better at press-ups I can do 50+ (53/54) in two minutes. I'm going to try to beat that one tonight.
