At my fitness assessment recently, at which one of the exercises was the traditional plank (forearms on the ground), I held it for 4 minutes and 38 seconds. This is the second time I've done this recently and I was totally shocked the first time. I didn't work up to it, I just did it. The idea was to hold it as long as I could...and I got stubborn. We used the stick.
