  • Moving slow...

    Hi all,

I'm just starting on my Primal fitness adventure and trying to get an idea of what I already do that could be incorporated into a Primal fitness program. So, would Yoga and Pilates count toward the 3 to 5 hours of Moving Slow time each week or are they too slow to be benificial?

    Thanks!
Went grain free Oct 2011 and now Feb 2012, going for Primal.

I'd say yoga and pilates don't count as moving, although some of the more active forms of yoga might count as low-level cardio. They can be good for building core strength though.

I think walking is a good one, especially as it gets you outdoors. You might want to consider joining The 2012 Slow Movement challenge:

Walking, gardening, leisurely bike riding, yard work.
If you are new to the PB - please ignore ALL of this stuff, until you've read the book, or at least http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-blueprint-101/ and this (personal fave): http://www.archevore.com/get-started/
