    Nice...

In my town, it is fairly simple.. Go to the one option we have or don't.

Thanks for the posting. However it does have a lot to do w/ location. I've been thinking about it but it's either the one 10 minutes from my house or the one 5 minutes from work. I'm not slogging a half hour+ in city traffic to get to a gym and then back again, so it's either them or nothing.

Crossfit is definitely a fitness movement with exponential growth. My hometown still only has one box though. Not so much a choice as it is a lack of options.

I'm pretty sure it's not - even if it is - it's just plain dangerous. How can they even use the CF logo?

These are called "continental cleans" or "anyhows" but this is a very poor example of them. And how exactly can they call themselves "Veteran Crossfit Athletes"? I'm assuming they mean veteran as in a couple of years or so.

LMFAO, that video is perfect. How can people stand around and watch this and think everything is cool? That question is rhetorical I would love Mark Rippetoe to walk in and take a look at these people.

Thanks for posting that video. I needed a good laugh. Why would a gym post a video of people demonstrating terrible form with no coach in sight?
I felt bad for the girl in the blue shirt. She had plenty of strength to get that bar overhead, just bad techique. I am not a great coach, but I could have helped her in about two minutes of coaching.

Is that video for real?!? Why would someone post that? It's advertising bad form and the potential for serious injuries.

The only good part of this video is at 2:18, where this cute 3 legged dog walks by.

edit: Also, it's clear people are getting hurt. If you notice, there is a girl in the corner icing her legs throughout parts of this video.

I think that video is a gag or something (at least I really hope it is). The weights just don't sound right when they drop them. Plus, those girls are seriously strong if they are pressing that much overhead.

Each of those weights are 10lbs? I'm guessing the bar doesn't weigh much because it doesn't look like it. So total 100lbs max?

They looked bigger than 10 pounds to me. I could be wrong. I just assumed the bar was average weight. Still doesn't sound right when it hits the dirt. 100lbs isn't light even for some guys either.
